They said: We need the daughter's request, not the flour's request. Then, the Brahmin Serkya became angry and said to those Brahmin boys: I will not give you the daughter's request. They said: We are not seeking the daughter's request for our own sake. Then, the Brahmin Serkya said to those Brahmin boys: Brahmin boys, I did not understand that meaning. Then, those Brahmin boys said to the Brahmin Serkya: Wise one! In the city of Magadha, there is a place called Nyagrodha, where there lives a Brahmin like a great Sal tree, called Nyagrodha, who is rich, has much wealth, has many enjoyments, has a vast territory, possesses the wealth of Vaisravana, competes with the wealth of Vaisravana. He has sixteen slave villages, thirty artisan villages, sixty trade villages, nine hundred and ninety-nine plowing farmers, sixty billion gold, and eighty gold paddy fields obtained by King Padma. It is heard that he has a son named Nyagrodha, who is handsome, pleasing to look at, beautiful, proficient in the six professions of Brahmins, proficient in the Vedas and the branches of the Vedas, and very sharp-witted in all eighteen fields of knowledge. We are asking for the daughter's request for him. Then, the Brahmin Serkya said to those Brahmin boys: I have heard extensively about the virtues of that Brahmin who is like a great Sal tree, his lineage, discipline, cleanliness, and conduct, but he lives in a distant place, how can we marry him? They said: Wise one! Haven't you heard, "What is fire, and what is wind? Poison mixed with blood, the Brahmin is determined, what is a horse, these will not stop" and so on? That Brahmin is very rich, and you are also rich and wealthy like him, so what makes those people come and go?

There were also those who rode and those who did not. Furthermore, living together for a long time and forming friendships is stable. When those Brahmin boys informed the old Brahmin, who was as old as a great Sala tree, with words that moved him, at that time, he gave bathing utensils such as: bath towels, tiles, flour, oil, salt, and so on. After that, those Brahmin boys took those bathing utensils and went to bathe on the high ground outside the city of Kapilavastu. Then, the old Brahmin thought: As long as the Brahmin boys go to bathe on the high ground, I will also discuss with friends, relatives, and family members. Thinking this, the old Brahmin entered the house, sat with his wife and relatives, and told them about this matter. They said: That Brahmin is like a great Sala tree, even if we don't want to, we should try to marry our daughter to him. Since he himself has this intention, there is no need to say more, we should marry our daughter to him without hesitation. Marrying him is a good match for us, and our daughter will also be happy. After that, the parents bathed the daughter, put on white clothes, did auspicious things, had the Brahmins recite blessing scriptures, and married the daughter to the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha. After that, those Brahmin boys calculated the moon, sun, stars, and time for the daughter's parents, and said: In a certain month, sun, stars, and time, she will approach that boy. After that, those Brahmin boys fulfilled their wishes, felt satisfied, happy, and very joyful, and set off for the city of Nyagrodha, finally arriving at the city of Nyagrodha. The Brahmin boy Nyagrodha saw them from afar. After seeing them, he thought: How are the Brahmins

Those boys were delighted, happy, and very pleased, thinking, "It's even better than expected, I've found exactly what I wanted!" Then, those Brahmin boys went to the Brahmin banyan tree Kalava, which was like a great Sala tree, and after prostrating to the Brahmin banyan tree, they sat down. He also made each of those Brahmin boys happy. After making them each happy, he said this to those Brahmin boys: "Hey, Brahmin boys! Has everything been completely fulfilled as we thought and as we hoped for in our hearts?" They were delighted, happy, and very pleased, and said this to the Khenpo (teacher): "Hey, Khenpo, please be happy! We have found something even more excellent than what you thought." He said, "For example, what is it like? Didn't you say that you shouldn't examine a daughter by caste, lineage, or family, but only examine whether her appearance is beautiful?" We have found a woman who is beautiful in appearance and possesses caste, lineage, family, and wealth. For example, what is it like? Those Brahmin boys extensively narrated the things they had asked about, even mentioning the moon, the sun, the stars, and a moment. Khenpo, we have determined it in this way, Khenpo, now please know that the time has come." Then, the Brahmin banyan tree, which was like a great Sala tree, heard those stories and was delighted, happy, and very pleased, and offered food, drinks, beverages, clothes, garments, and various kinds of ornaments to those Brahmin boys. Then, the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-jata heard that the girl's appearance and complexion were very outstanding, and he became disappointed, hearing that her appearance was so beautiful, he must be very greedy, he should go to his mother first and investigate earlier, thinking like this. The Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-jata said this to his parents: "Father and mother, first I will approach and touch at the entrance, and then I will take a bride." The two of them agreed to it. Then, the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-jata and one Brahmin boy.
