Even if you are satisfied, what use is this matter to you? Even if you are not satisfied, what use is this matter to you? After saying these words, Poma said to the incense-selling boy: I thought I could do a little something that needed to be done with you, but if even a little is unbearable, then let it end there. Then the incense-selling boy thought: This bhikshuni has become attached. He went to her again and again, making gestures, setting times, showing hints, and also being frivolous, flirtatious, and silly. Then the incense-selling boy came to Poma at another time, and she covered him up and left him there. Then Poma went outside the monastery, washed her hands and feet, instructed the disciples and attendants, and then went to a secluded place with the incense-selling boy and sat down. After a while, he began to engage in sexual acts, and at that time Poma thought: Whatever I, as a bhikshuni, have, whether it be discipline, asceticism, or brahmacharya, is due to grace. If I commit this kind of evil deed, defiling the status of a bhikshuni, who will ask me? Thinking this, Poma said to the incense-selling boy: Handsome boy, go away. Then the incense-selling boy thought: Without a doubt, this must be uncomfortable. He also left. Then Poma lay down comfortably, curled up her right leg, kicked the incense-selling boy, and broke two of his ribs. Then the incense-selling boy ran away, vomiting blood. Then Poma sat in the middle of the summer residence and shouted: Subdue the demon! Subdue the demon! Then those bhikshunis heard and said: Sister, have you realized the fruit of entering the stream? Or the fruit of once-returning? Or the fruit of non-returning? Or have you realized the supreme fruit of Arhatship? In youth, it was other

How does one generate roots of virtue in the Buddha's teachings? She said, "Not at all." They said, "Then, how did you defeat the demons?" She said that in most of those instances. Then those nuns said to Sbom dga' mo, "You just haven't encountered a prostitute, otherwise you would be bound." Then many nuns, even though Sbom dga' mo spoke, did not rejoice or get angry. Neither rejoicing nor getting angry, she got up from her seat and left. Then many nuns at that time said to the monks. The monks also reported to the Blessed One. Then the Blessed One, from this occurrence, and this basis of discussion, and this thing, and this occasion, up to benefiting many people, and also correctly and thoroughly teaching between gods and humans, should be spoken as before. Furthermore, the female hearers should recite the basis of training in discipline as follows: Furthermore, any nun who, having become attached, makes signs together with an attached man, or sets a time, or shows a sign, or flirts, or winks, or acts frivolously, claiming the man who comes as her own, and in any place where a woman or man can go without being turned back, leans her body, in these eight places, if a nun has committed a downfall, as soon as she has committed it, she is not fit to be a nun, and should not stay. Furthermore, who is the nun? It is Sbom dga' mo. "Having become attached" means with attachment, and with truly clinging, and with completely binding. "Man" means a boy selling incense, or anyone other than that. "Attachment" means attachment, and with truly clinging, and with completely binding. "Making signs" means when we see each other at our pavilion, or at a certain temple, etc. "Setting a time" means morning, noon, or afternoon, whenever it is, come at that time. That's what it means. "Showing a sign" means when we have not had our hair cut for a long time and are wearing reddish-yellow robes.
