, as well as, knowing, seeing, and abiding in contact, without and without, knowing this. After claiming "I see this," wanting to completely purify those degenerations that have occurred, it is okay to ask at another time, or not to ask. Thus, the venerable one, I, from not knowing, say I know, and having not seen, say I see, speaking false and untrue words. Except for the arrogance of attainment, that bhikkhuni also becomes an outcast because of this, and should not live together. Again, the bhikkhuni named so-and-so, starting from "the four bhikkhunis," to the meaning here, it is not appropriate to place the immovable request and the four karmas, whoever has received full ordination should be regarded as a bhikkhuni, as mentioned before. Not directly knowing, if not directly knowing what? That is, the five aggregates of form, etc. Not completely knowing, if not completely knowing what? That is, the five aggregates of form, etc., themselves. Human dharma refers to the five obscurations. Superior person refers to whoever has abandoned these. End refers to nirvana. Noble ones refer to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and the Buddha's Shravaka disciples. Attaining distinction refers to the four Samanera fruits, by what is attained, that is called attaining distinction. Knowing refers to knowing suffering, origin, cessation, and path. Seeing refers to the wisdom of seeing suffering, origin, cessation, and path. Abiding in contact refers to the four dhyanas, in the noble Dharma Vinaya, only seeing the Dharma can be called abiding in contact. Without refers to that basis. Without refers to that person. Knowing this, knowing what? Knowing suffering, origin, cessation, and path. Seeing, seeing what? Seeing the gods, as well as nagas, yakshas, dakinis, gandharvas, non-humans, large belly wanderers, pretas, flesh-eaters, kumbhandas, and rakshasas.

And, seeing the decaying bodies. The term "promise" means to speak. The term "occurrence of downfall" refers to that basis. The term "desiring to be completely pure" means desiring to be completely restored. The term "at another time" means at another time. The term "asking is also permissible" refers to others. The term "not asking is also permissible" refers to feeling regret for oneself, extreme regret, and the arising of remorse in the mind. Saying "Thus, those with life, I say that I know what I do not know" means understanding through the consciousness. Saying "Having not seen, I say I have seen" means understanding through the eye consciousness. Spoke a false lie. The term "saying" refers to the category of words spoken. The term "if saying" means if speaking out. The term "except for supernal pride" means putting aside supernal pride. The term "bhikshuni" refers to one who possesses the qualities of a bhikshuni, as before. The term "that also" is a superfluous word used to indicate closeness and universal indication. How, like the first Parajika offense, the downfall is spoken of there, so too should it be spoken. How then does one fall? The verse says: Changing thoughts and monasteries, spreading mats in laypeople's homes, holding onto one's own characteristics, showing oneself. Again, whichever bhikshuni changes her thoughts, changes patience, desire, wisdom, discrimination, and views, saying thus, "I see the gods," falls into Parajika. Likewise, if she says she sees nagas, yakshas, etc., as before, up to decaying bodies, she falls into Parajika. Therefore, this verse of the precept should also be spoken by changing "bhikshu" to "bhikshuni" from the Vinaya of bhikshus. The fourth Parajika ends. Explaining the fifth Parajika. Up to the story of past lives, the verse says: Few desires and both, beauty, brahmacharya, and supernormal knowledge, wealth and birth in a high caste, few desires and Kashyapa. After the bhikshus arose in doubt, to cut off all doubts, they requested the Blessed One Buddha, and the venerable Mahakashyapa.

Please look upon the daughter of Serkya and the fact that these two have little desire. The Blessed One said: Monks, not only now, but also in the past, and so on. Monks, the deeds done by these two, and the accumulated deeds, and so on, should be explained in detail. Monks, in the past, in a certain royal palace, there lived a farmer who would get up early in the morning, take his hoe and plow, and go to plow the fields. He would instruct his wife to bring lunch when the sun rose. His wife brought the lunch. At that moment, a Pratyekabuddha like a rhinoceros horn also came. There, she prostrated at the feet of the Pratyekabuddha and stood up. The Pratyekabuddha said, and so on. The Pratyekabuddha sat in the sky, and so on, offered alms, and prayed: Thus, being controlled by all defilements, whatever faults I have committed, and so on, may we both have little desire, and so on. Monks, at that time, the one who became the farmer was this Kashyapa. At that time, the one who became the farmer's wife was this Serkya's Good Woman. Because they both offered alms to the Pratyekabuddha and prayed at that time, these two have become little in desire, and so on. Therefore, monks, in order to abandon desire, one should strive. In that way, you will generate a collection of qualities. Monks, you should train in this way, and so on. Again, monks, and so on, what deeds did the venerable Mahakashyapa and Serkya's Good Daughter do, and for what reason did they both become ordained? And so on. The Blessed One said: It is by the power of prayer. Where is it? Monks, in the past, in a village outside a large city, there was a potter's workshop. In times when Buddhas do not reside, Pratyekabuddhas arise who have compassion for the poor and lowly and engage in benefiting sentient beings. Then, a Pratyekabuddha came to the potter's workshop.
