If it is the Vinaya Pitaka of the ordained, then praising those who are not worthy of praise, but not mentioning her name, why would it not harm her? When those nuns of few desires were reproached, they reported to the Blessed One. Then the Blessed One, starting from "This happened," proceeded to establish the precepts. Furthermore, if any nun is stingy with praise, she commits an offense entailing expiation. Again, "any" refers to Sturdy Delight. "Praise" refers to being stingy and jealous when speaking of scripture and realization. "Commits an offense entailing expiation" is as previously stated. So, how does one commit an offense? As much as a nun praises truthfully, if she is stingy with praise, then she will commit an offense entailing expiation in all ways. The fourth of the twentieth offense entailing expiation is complete. The beginning is in Shravasti. Then Sturdy Delight said to the nuns: Sisters, do not enter such and such a house. They said: Why? She said: I made that house faithful by explaining the Dharma with great effort. The nuns said: Holy Mother, have you not been harmed by stinginess towards laypeople? She said this. When this was said, those nuns of few desires were reproached, and they reported to the Blessed One. Then the Blessed One, starting from "This happened," proceeded to establish the precepts. Furthermore, if any nun is stingy towards laypeople, she commits an offense entailing expiation. Again, "any" refers to Sturdy Delight. "Towards laypeople" refers to the house of Brahmins and householders. "Stingy" refers to generating jealousy. "Commits an offense entailing expiation" is as previously stated. So, how does one commit an offense? As much as a nun

It is not right if the robe is torn! Do not go for alms too early! Thus, she prevented others, but she herself put on her skirt very early in the morning. Taking the bowl and Dharma robes, she entered the village. A Brahmin, finding it strange, saw her, seized her, and beat her with fists and clods of earth, so that her eye sockets were swollen. She went to the summer residence, and the nuns said to her, 'Holy one, who beat you?' She spoke in detail about the situation. The nuns said to her, 'Holy one, you are not troubled by stinginess, are you?' She said these words. When she said these words, the nuns reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, from the occurrence of this event onwards, made the establishment of the precepts. Furthermore, if any nun is stingy with what she has obtained, she commits an offense entailing expiation. Furthermore, any nun, that is to say, the plump girl. 'Being stingy with what is obtained' means that there are two kinds of things obtained: the obtaining of food and the obtaining of clothing. In this sense, it refers to the obtaining of food. 'Generating stinginess' means generating jealousy. 'Committing an offense entailing expiation' means the same as before. So, how does one commit an offense entailing expiation? If a nun is stingy with even a little of what she has obtained, she completely commits an offense entailing expiation. Then, there is the past connection: The monks became doubtful, and in order to cut off all doubts, they reported to the Blessed One, 'Venerable Plump Girl, always teaches others, but does not practice herself.' The Blessed One taught, 'Just as in the past, Plump Girl always taught others, but did not practice herself, and therefore suffered in an improper way.' Monks, in the past, on a great road, many monkeys were passing by. One female monkey said to the other monkeys, 'Brothers and sisters, do not get bile disease! Eat some sesame seeds!' Thus she taught them. But she herself was eating sesame seeds on the road where the chariot was passing, and as a result, her head was cut off by the wheel of the chariot. Then, a god at that time spoke a verse.

Having cut it off, he said: Advising others but not practicing oneself, Being greedy by nature, This mountain ogress is conquered by the wheel. Bhikshus, what do you think? That mountain ogress is none other than the stout joyful woman. Even then, she advises others but does not practice herself, and thus suffers from impropriety. Even now, she advises others but does not practice herself, and thus suffers from impropriety. Therefore, bhikshus, you should train yourselves thus: Whatever is in accordance with one's own practice, one should also advise others. Bhikshus, you should train yourselves in such a way. The sixth of the twentieth downfall is complete. The beginning is in Shravasti. There, the stout joyful woman, dwelling together with and having received offerings from the lay followers, said, "Today, please put some sugar and apples in my bowl." They passed them back and forth, but did not give them offerings. They said, "Venerable Mother, do you not begrudge the Dharma?" She said, "Alas, daughters of Buzana! Because I pleased the six groups with apples for the sake of offerings, my hands have calluses; because I begged for forgiveness, my head is bald; because I knelt and begged for offerings, my tongue is numb. Why would I not be stingy?" At that time, the nuns with few desires were scolding her, and they reported this to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, from "This has happened" up to the establishment of the precepts, said: If a nun is stingy with the Dharma, she commits a downfall. "Again, who" refers to the stout joyful woman. "Stingy with the Dharma" means that which is spoken by the Buddha or spoken by the Hearers. "Commits a downfall" is as before. How does one incur a downfall? As much as a nun is slightly stingy with the Dharma, she will incur a downfall in all ways. The summary of the five kinds of stinginess is: Abode, praise, and family, Gain itself, and the Dharma. The seventh of the twentieth downfall is complete. The beginning is in Shravasti. Then, ten
