When determining, at the time of standing up and leaving without speaking, a request was made to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: Do not leave. After those became ill, the Blessed One said: After informing the Bhikshuni, then leave. After that, the Blessed One, from "Bhikshunis wanting to learn" to "reducing utensils." Again, the Shravaka women should recite the basis of learning the Vinaya in this way: Again, any Bhikshuni, when determining the Dharma of the Sangha, stands up from the seat without speaking, and leaves without informing the Bhikshunis present, except for that kind of situation, it is a Patayantika. Again, "any" refers to the twelve divisions. "Determining the talk of Dharma" means: Determining the talk of Dharma is like this: request, request and two, request and four actions. "Standing up without speaking" means being silent. "Without informing the Bhikshunis present" means not giving consent. "Except for that kind of situation" means excluding the situation. "It is a Patayantika" means the same as before. So, how does one commit a Patayantika? When a Bhikshuni slightly determines the Dharma, if she stands up and leaves without speaking, if she does not understand the meaning, it is a Dushkrita. If she does not understand the sound, but understands the meaning, it is a Patayantika. The seventh of the sixth Patayantika ends. The basis is Shravasti. At that time, the coarse joyful mother and her retinue did not respect the Buddha, did not respect the Dharma and the Sangha, and at that time slandered the Bhikshunis who were content with little, and requested the Blessed One. After that, the Blessed One, from "this event happened" to the point of establishing the training, if there is no respect, it is a Patayantika. "If there is no respect" means that there are two kinds of disrespect: the Sangha and the individual. "It is a Patayantika" means the same as before. So, how does one commit a Patayantika? If the householder says to the Bhikshuni: Take a dwelling, if you do not accept it, it is a Patayantika. If one requests with a Dharma-like thought, and does not accept that,

There is no offense. Go that way! Speak! All such things as these will become offenses, and this is for the Sangha. If the female preceptor and teacher of an individual instruct, 'Find a dwelling!' and if they do not accept, they commit a misdeed. If they do not go, they commit a misdeed. If they speak, they commit a misdeed. If they do not speak, they commit a misdeed. Likewise, for all things, they commit a misdeed. If they request with the intention of Dharma, there is no offense. The eighth of the sixth offense is complete. The basis of the story is in Shravasti. At the time when the Blessed One, relying on the venerable Sudinna, established the foundation of the precepts concerning grain liquor and prepared liquor, because it is a place of heedlessness and causes intoxication. At that time, the Bhikkhuni Sangha thought, 'How should we recite this precept?' Thinking thus, the Bhikkhuni Sangha went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, many Bhikkhunis said to the Blessed One, 'Blessed One, how should the Bhikkhunis observe the precept concerning grain liquor and prepared liquor?' Then, the Blessed One praised the Bhikkhunis for desiring to learn, respecting learning, and economizing on resources for learning, and then said, 'Drinking grain liquor and prepared liquor is an offense.' 'Grain liquor' is that which is mixed with yeast and that which is mixed with food. 'Prepared liquor' is winter liquor, molasses liquor, and that which is mixed with other substances. 'Drinking' means swallowing into the throat. 'Offense' is as before. How does one commit an offense? If a Bhikkhuni drinks the color of liquor, the smell of liquor, the taste of liquor, or causes others to drink, she commits an offense. Drinking prepared liquor is an offense. Drinking mixed liquor is an offense. Smelling the color of liquor is a misdeed. Smelling the smell of liquor is a misdeed. Tasting the taste of liquor is a misdeed. Eating liquor dregs is a misdeed. If one has leprosy, and for the sake of limb numbness and mouth sores, puts it in the mouth and holds it,
