She is a female beggar. Among them, what is a nun in name only? Anyone who is called a nun by words, names, appellations, epithets, concepts, conventions, establishments, or terms, or a kind of nun, or becomes like a nun, is called a nun in name only. What is a self-proclaimed nun? Anyone who is not a nun but claims to be a nun, lives by stealing, and also claims to be a nun is called a self-proclaimed nun. What is a nun for begging? Anyone who lives by begging with the Dharma is called a nun for begging. What is a nun for destroying afflictions? Anyone whose outflows completely afflict, cause rebirth, are accompanied by disease, ripen into suffering, and cause future birth, aging, and death, all of which have been abandoned, completely known, cut off from the root, with no foundation appearing like the top of a palm tree, and become of a nature that does not arise in the future, is called a nun for destroying afflictions. In this context, anyone who has received full ordination with the immovable four karmas, which should not be established, should be regarded as a nun, and therefore she is also said to be a nun. "Together with the nuns" means with those who are different from them, but who are in accordance with the Dharma and practice the same pure conduct. What is meant by "equal in discipline"? The discipline that a nun who has been ordained for a hundred years should practice, a newly ordained nun should also practice; and what a newly ordained nun should practice, one who has been ordained for a hundred years should also practice. Here, whatever is equal in discipline itself, equal in the precepts themselves, and equal in reciting the Pratimoksha Sutra itself is called equal in discipline, therefore it is said to be equal in discipline. "Having become" means having passed. Regarding "not having offered the training," if asked to what extent is it considered not having offered the training? For example, if a nun is angry and offers the training overwhelmed by anger, then it is considered not having offered the training.

It should be said that the precepts have not been given. If the precepts are given while afflicted by madness, mental confusion, and feelings, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If the precepts are given in the presence of someone who is angry or overwhelmed by the power of anger, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If the precepts are given to a foolish Bhikṣuṇī, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. Just like a foolish woman, if the precepts are given to a mute, a deaf person, someone overcome by sleep, someone in meditative absorption, an image of a deity, an image of the Buddha, a non-human being, an emanation, or someone who has become an animal, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If a person from the central region gives the precepts to a person from the central region in the language of the border region, and if the person from the central region does not understand the language spoken in the border region, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. Similarly, if a person from the border region gives the precepts to a person from the border region in the language of the central region, and if the person from the border region does not understand the language of the central region, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If a person from the border region gives the precepts to a person from the central region in the language of the border region, and if the person from the central region does not understand the language spoken in the border region, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If a person from the central region gives the precepts to a person from the border region in the language of the central region, and if the person from the border region does not understand the language of the central region, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If the precepts are given in a secluded place with the perception of a non-secluded place, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If the precepts are given in a non-secluded place with the perception of a secluded place, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If a noisy person gives the precepts to a noisy person, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. If someone intending to give the precepts does not recognize some of the Bhikṣuṇīs who are truly present and gives the precepts, it should be said that the precepts have not been given. Thus it is said, this is called not having given the precepts. // The Discrimination of Bhikṣuṇīs. Volume Three. Regarding what is called not having violated the precepts, there are cases where the precepts are violated and the precepts are not given; there are cases where the precepts are not violated and the precepts are given; there are cases where the precepts are both violated and the precepts are given; there are cases where the precepts are neither violated nor given. In what way are the precepts violated and the precepts
