The sutra summarizing the training is: not to lick the hand, not to wipe the bowl, not to shake the hand, not to shake the bowl, having destroyed something like a stupa, one should train not to eat. When the group of six monks were eating tsampa in another's house, the monks sitting next to them were eating a lot, and the group of six monks mocked them, saying: 'Look at this happy intimate, old joiner, eating so much.' When this happened, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: 'Therefore, my disciples should recite this basis of training in discipline as follows: One should train not to look in order to mock the bowl of the monk sitting next to him.' When the group of six monks were eating food in another's house, their hands were stained with food, but they used them to take the water vessel. The non-believers mocked them, saying: 'The renunciants of the Shakya clan use their hands stained with food to take the water vessel, they are unclean.' When this happened, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: 'Therefore, my disciples should recite this basis of training in discipline as follows: One should train not to take the water vessel with hands stained with food.' When the group of six monks were eating tsampa in another's house, a monk wearing a red-yellow robe was sitting below them, and the group of six monks said: 'Happy intimate, poor fellow, we young people have never worn such a robe before, let him be unhappy.' They threw water stained with food at him, and the monk's robe was soiled by the water stained with food, and he began to curse. When this happened, the monks reported to the Blessed One.

祈请，世尊开示说：因此，我的声闻弟子们应如此宣说修学之根本：应对坐在近旁的僧人，不以食物和污秽的水泼洒，应如是学习。 佛陀世尊住在水生孩童杀戮之山，可怖森林山地的鹿野苑中。 具悟王子以一百零一种颜色绘制的莲花楼阁中，迎请僧众应供斋饭时，六群比丘将钵中的水倾倒于彼处，布施者呵责道：诸位圣者，你们已经玷污了具悟王子以一百零一种颜色绘制的莲花楼阁的地面。 六群比丘说：具悟王子暂时对此产生贪恋，不知将生于何处。你们若对此产生贪恋，将生于患有瘿瘤的饿鬼之中。 当他们开始互相谩骂时，众比丘向世尊禀告。 世尊开示说：应学习不将食物和污秽的水倾倒于他人家中。 在舍卫城，一位施主请人建造房屋，在屋檐下迎请僧众应供斋饭时，众比丘将食物和污秽的水倾倒于房屋外，施主说道：诸位圣者，请倾倒于此处，我的房屋将因此而增光。 众比丘向世尊禀告。 世尊开示说：如果屋主说请倾倒于此处，则可倾倒。否则，不应倾倒。 因此，我的声闻弟子们应如此宣说修学之根本：未经询问屋主，不应将食物和污秽的水倾倒于他人家中，应如是学习。 学处之总摄：应学习不以轻蔑之心观看坐在近旁的比丘的钵。 应学习不以沾染食物的手触碰水器。 应对坐在近旁的僧人，不以食物和污秽的水泼洒，应如是学习。 未经询问屋主，不应倾倒食物

Having requested, the Bhagavan spoke: Therefore, my Shravaka disciples should declare the basis of training in discipline as follows: One should train not to throw food and impure water at the monk sitting nearby. The Buddha Bhagavan was dwelling in the Deer Park of the terrifying forest mountain of the mountain where aquatic creatures kill children. When Prince Endowed with Realization invited the Sangha of monks to the lotus palace painted with one hundred and one colors and offered them food, the group of six monks poured the water from their bowls there, and the almsgivers rebuked them, saying: Venerable ones, you have defiled the ground of the lotus palace painted with one hundred and one colors by Prince Endowed with Realization. The group of six monks said: Prince Endowed with Realization, having temporarily become attached to this, does not know where he will be born. If you become attached to this, you will be born among the pretas with goiters. When they began to revile each other, the monks reported this to the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan spoke: One should train not to pour food and impure water into another's house. In Shravasti, when a householder had a house built and invited the Sangha of monks to a meal under the eaves, the monks poured food and impure water outside the house, and the householder said: Venerable ones, please pour it here, and my house will be adorned by it. The monks reported this to the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan spoke: If the householder says, 'Please pour it here,' then it should be poured. Otherwise, it should not be poured. Therefore, my Shravaka disciples should declare the basis of training in discipline as follows: Without asking the householder, one should train not to pour food and impure water into another's house. The summary of the precepts: One should train not to look with contempt at the bowl of the monk sitting nearby. One should train not to touch the water vessel with hands soiled with food. In Shravasti, there was a Brahmin whose son fell ill, and he went to the doctor and said: Good-looking one, my son is ill, please give medicine. That doctor was a faithful man, and he said: Brahmin, bathe with the water from the alms bowls of the noble ones. He went to Jeta Grove, and none of the six groups of monks would leave the gate of Jeta Grove empty, so the venerable Ananda was walking and staying at the gate of Jeta Grove. That Brahmin prostrated at his feet and said: Venerable, my son is ill, if you could grant some water from the alms bowls of the noble ones, please grant it. He said: Brahmin, wait here for a moment, and I will bring the water from the alms bowl. He went to the temple, put a little flour, a little rice, a little yogurt, a little meat, and a little bone into the alms bowl, then poured water and came out, saying: Brahmin, come. That Brahmin saw it and said: Venerable, is the water in your alms bowl like this? Brahmin, it is like this. Venerable, it would be better for my son to die, it is not right to bathe with such unclean things. When he said these things, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One taught: Therefore, my Shravaka disciples should proclaim the root of learning in this way: It should be taught not to pour food scraps into the alms bowl. Like this, whoever asks for water from the alms bowl should wash the alms bowl three times and then give the water from the alms bowl that has been blessed with the verses of the temple. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was staying in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. The monks were placing alms bowls in places without a foundation, and when it was eaten by insects, the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One taught: Therefore, my Shravaka disciples should proclaim the root of learning in this way: Do not place the alms bowl in a place without a foundation.
