应当从那个卖香的少年那里购买药膏、冰片和樟脑。如果（他）说“拿给谁？”，就应当说“那个贵族之子生病了，所以为了他的药而拿”。如果（他）说“是什么颜色的？”，就应当说“是青莲花的颜色”。那个被派遣的女子拿着迦波沙拏，去到卖香的少年那里，说道：“请给我药膏、冰片和樟脑。”他说：“拿给谁？”她说：“那个贵族之子生病了，所以为了他的药而拿。”他说：“是什么颜色的？”她说：“是青莲花的颜色。”他心想：“那是一个相当大的病人，用自己的药来服侍（他）。”想到这里，他对她生起了爱恋，于是他对那个女子说：“女子，请告诉青莲花色的（人），卖香的少年想要见你。”那个女子对青莲花色的（人）说了，她说：“女子，去这样说：‘那个贵族之子还没有痊愈。’”她去了，对他说了那些话，他又再三地问那个女子“哪天来好？”她对青莲花色的（人）说了，她心想：“他更加爱恋了，应该想出一个好的办法。”于是她做了一个假人，放在床上，抬到墓地烧掉，然后在下面披散着头发，以哭泣的表情，从离卖香少年的商店不太远的地方开始走，卖香少年看见了她。世尊说：‘女人用八种方式束缚男人，即舞蹈、歌唱、音乐、欢笑、哭泣、观看、触摸和制造伤口。’因此，卖香少年对她非常爱恋，又对那个女子说：“女子，现在来吧。”她对青莲花色的（人）说了，她说：“女子，去这样说：‘那个贵族之子在那里去世了，现在悲伤还没有平复，怎么能相见呢？’”青莲花色的（人）越是这样周旋，卖香少年就越是爱恋。

One should buy ointment, camphor, and borneol from that incense-selling boy. If (he) says, "Who are you taking it to?" one should say, "That noble son is sick, so I am taking it for his medicine." If (he) says, "What color is it?" one should say, "It is the color of a blue lotus." That dispatched girl took the karshapana and went to the incense-selling boy and said, "Please give me ointment, camphor, and borneol." He said, "Who are you taking it to?" She said, "That noble son is sick, so I am taking it for his medicine." He said, "What color is it?" She said, "It is the color of a blue lotus." He thought, "That is quite a big patient, serving (him) with his own medicine." Thinking this, he developed affection for her, and then he said to that girl, "Girl, please tell the blue lotus-colored (one) that the incense-selling boy wants to see you." That girl told the blue lotus-colored (one), and she said, "Girl, go and say this: 'That noble son has not yet recovered.'" She went and told him those words, and he repeatedly asked that girl, "Which day would be good to come?" She told the blue lotus-colored (one), and she thought, "He is even more infatuated, I should devise a good method." So she made a dummy, placed it on the bed, carried it to the cemetery and burned it, and then with disheveled hair and a weeping expression, she started walking from not far from the incense-selling boy's shop, and the incense-selling boy saw her. The Blessed One said, 'Women bind men in eight ways, namely, dancing, singing, music, laughter, weeping, watching, touching, and making wounds.' Therefore, the incense-selling boy became very infatuated with her and again said to that girl, "Girl, come now." She told the blue lotus-colored (one), and she said, "Girl, go and say this: 'That noble son has passed away there, and now the grief has not yet subsided, how can we meet?'" The more the blue lotus-colored (one) managed in this way, the more the incense-selling boy became infatuated.

The eastern gatekeeper saw the lamp, felt doubtful, and went there. After a while, he saw the boy, picked him up, went to his wife, and said, 'Good woman, this is your son.'
