The king of the gods, Indra, prostrated to him. When he entered among those, the king of the gods, Indra, heard how he had entered the ranks of the divine hermits and practiced celibacy. So the king of the gods, Indra, went to his abode, and upon arriving, prostrated at his feet and then departed. Then, the former divine son monk thought to himself: "Since I approach in order to behold and serve the Blessed One, if I rely on those who dwell in permanence, it is not in accordance with my way. I should not rely on those who dwell in permanence, but only approach in order to behold and serve the Blessed One." Then, the former divine son monk, carrying swaying, immaculate earrings, with a body adorned with necklaces and armlets, filled a vessel with divine utpala (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), lotuses, water lilies, and white lotuses. Due to its exceedingly surpassing color, when night fell, he went to where the Blessed One was, and upon arriving, he scattered flowers upon the Blessed One, bowed his head to the Blessed One's feet, and sat to one side. Thus, the former divine son monk's radiance, by the power of its color, pervaded the entire Jeta Grove with vast light. Then, the former divine son monk requested the Blessed One in the tone of verses: "This grove called Bewilderment, filled with the clamor of throngs of goddesses, surrounded like a flesh-eating demoness, how will death occur?" The Blessed One spoke: "From the path called Upright, to the direction called Fearless, the chariot called Soundless, driven by the contemplation of Dharma, its aim is conscientiousness, mindfulness is its attendant, wisdom is its driver, the guide is called Right View. Whichever man or woman has such a vehicle, and rides such a vehicle, he/she will go to the Fearless direction." Then, the Blessed One understood the thoughts, predispositions, faculties, and nature of the former divine son monk. Having heard this, the divine son monk, while sitting on that very seat, attained the twenty peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates of existence.
