If it is necessary, kill the divine one, put on the crown yourself, and become the master of the kingdom's power." The king said: "Wise ones, why would that be so? He is one who prioritizes Dharma, how could he do such a thing?" They said: "We will make the divine one see it with his own eyes." After some time, the householder Gadhghani, surrounded by the king's attendants and opponents, entered the royal palace. The royal palace was filled with crowds of people, and he did the king's business and the king's actions, and then came out of the royal palace. The king's attendants who had been seated earlier also came out with him, sitting without the king's retinue. Those ministers said to the king: "Divine one, do you see? What we said is like this: if it is necessary, kill the divine one, put on the crown yourself, and become the master of the kingdom's power." The king thought: "Let me observe him for a while." So he began to observe him from his behavior and conduct. Soon, a caravan leader came from the northern road, driving pack horses to Kauśāmbī. The king commanded Gadhghani: "Buy the horses with a hundred thousand gold coins." He bought the horses with a hundred thousand gold coins.
