གི་སྒོ་དག་ནི་བཅད། མཐོ་རིས་དང་ཐར་པའི་སྒོ་དག་ནི་ཕྱེ། ཐོག་མ་མེད་པའི་དུས་ནས་བསགས་པའི་འཇིག་ཚོགས་ལ་ལྟ་བའི་རིའི་རྩེ་མོ་ཉི་ཤུ་མཐོ་བ་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་རྡོ་རྗེས་བཅོམ་སྟེ་རྒྱུན་དུ་ཞུགས་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་ནི་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་བྱས་ཏེ། བདག་དགེ་སློང་མཐོང་བར་འདོད་ཀྱིས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དགེ་སློང་འགའ་ཞིག་གཏང་བའི་རིགས་སོ་ཞེས་བྲིས་ཏེ་སྤྲིང་ངོ་། །རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོས་ཕྲིན་ཡིག་དེ་བཀླགས་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་སོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་གཉིས་ལ་མགོ་བོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ་མཐའ་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་གོ །མཐའ་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོས་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །བཙུན་པ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་ཏྲ་ཡ་ནས་བདེན་པ་དག་མཐོང་ནས་དེས་བདག་ལ་ཕྲིན་ཡིག་བསྐུར་ཏེ། དགེ་སློང་མཐོང་བར་འཚལ་གྱིས་དགེ་སློང་འགའ་ཞིག་གཏང་བའི་རིགས་སོ་ཞེས་མཆི་ན། དེའི་སླད་དུ་འདི་ལ་ཇི་ལྟར་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བགྱི། བཅོམ་ལྡན་ འདས་ཀྱིས་དགོངས་པ། རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་ཏྲ་ཡ་ན་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་པ་དང་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་སྒྲ་སྒྲོགས་ན་གནས་པའི་སྐྱེ་བོའི་ཚོགས་དགེ་སློང་གང་གིས་གདུལ་བ་ཡིན་སྙམ་དུ་དགོངས་ན། དགེ་སློང་ཀཱ་ཏྱཱ་ཡ་ན་ཆེན་པོའི་གདུལ་བ་ཡིན་པར་གཟིགས་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀཱ་ཏྱཱ་ཡ་ན་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ཀཱ་ཏྱཱ་ཡ་ན་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་སྒྲ་སྒྲོགས་ན་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་ཏྲ་ཡ་ན་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་པ་དང་། སྒྲ་སྒྲོགས་ན་གནས་པའི་སྐྱེ་བོའི་ཚོགས་ལ་སོམས་ཤིག །ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀཱ་ཏྱཱ་ཡ་ན་ཆེན་པོས་བཙུན་པ་བཀའ་བཞིན་འཚལ་ཞེས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལས་མཉན་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་གཉིས་ལ་མགོ་བོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་སྤྱན་སྔ་ནས་སོང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀཱ་ཏྱཱ་ཡ་ན་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་མཚན་མོ་འདས་ནས་སྔ་དྲོ་ཤམ་ཐབས་བགོས་ལྷུང་བཟེད་དང་ཆོས་གོས་ཐོགས་ཏེ་རྒྱལ་པོའི་ཁབ་ཏུ་བསོད་སྙོམས་ལ་ཞུགས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོའི་ཁབ་ཏུ་བསོད་སྙོམས་བརྒྱུས་ནས་ཟས་ཀྱི་བྱ་བ་བྱས་ཏེ་ཕྱི་མའི་ཟས་ཀྱི་བསོད་སྙོམས་ལས་ཕྱིར་ལོག་པས་ཇི་ལྟར་ལོངས་སྤྱད་པའི་གནས་མལ་མཁོས་སུ་ཕབ་སྟེ། ལྷུང་བཟེད་དང་ཆོས་གོས་ཐོགས་ནས་འཁོར་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་དང་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་སྒྲ་སྒྲོགས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་དོང་ངོ་། །རྒྱལ་པོ་གཟུགས་ཅན་སྙིང་པོས་ཀྱང་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨུ་ཏྲ་ཡ་ན་ལ་ཕྲིན་ཡིག་ཤེད་མཐུན་དགྱེས་པ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཕྱིར་བདག་གིས་དགེ་སློང་སྟོན་པ་དང་འདྲ་བ་འདི་འཁོར་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་དང་བཏང་གིས་ཁྱོ

The doors of rebirth were closed, and the doors to heaven and liberation were opened. The twenty high peaks of the mountain of observing the world, accumulated from beginningless time, were destroyed by the vajra of wisdom, and the fruit of entering the stream was made manifest. I wish to see a bhikkhu, please send some bhikkhus. After writing this, he sent the letter. King Rūpakāya read the letter and went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down to one side. Having sat down to one side, King Rūpakāya said to the Blessed One: Venerable One, King Udayana, having seen the truth, sent me a letter saying: I wish to see a bhikkhu, please send some bhikkhus. For this reason, what should I do about this? The Blessed One thought: Which bhikkhu should tame King Udayana and his retinue, and the assembly of beings living in the city of Ghosaka? He saw that it was to be tamed by the great bhikkhu Kātyāyana. Then the Blessed One said to the venerable great Kātyāyana: Kātyāyana, go to the city of Ghosaka, and consider King Udayana and his retinue, and the assembly of beings living in Ghosaka! The venerable great Kātyāyana replied: Venerable One, as the Blessed One commands. Having heard the Blessed One's teaching, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and departed from the Blessed One's presence. Then, after that night had passed, the venerable great Kātyāyana, the next morning, put on his lower robe, took his bowl and robes, and went to Rājagṛha for alms. Having gone through Rājagṛha for alms, having finished the meal, and returning from the later alms, he arranged the dwelling place where he would enjoy it, took his bowl and robes, and went with five hundred attendants to where the city of Ghosaka was.

He had seats laid out in a wide-open space. The venerable Mahā-Kātyāyana sat on the seat prepared for the community of monks. Tens of thousands of beings gathered there, some out of curiosity, and some driven by the roots of past virtues. Then, the venerable Mahā-Kātyāyana, understanding the thoughts, habits, faculties, and inclinations of that assembly, taught the Dharma accordingly to the tens of thousands of beings, and they all gained great benefit from hearing it. Some attained the fruit of stream-entry, some attained the fruit of once-returning, some attained the fruit of non-returning, and some, after ordaining, abandoned all defilements and attained the state of Arhatship. Some generated the mind of a Hearer Bodhi, some generated the mind of a Pratyekabuddha Bodhi, and some generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi. Most of the retinue inclined towards the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.
