Bring him to Je Song! If you don't bring him, you will be severely punished! The woman thought: This daughter of the leftover-rice woman will surely fill the house of the righteous one with filth. I think I can lure him without any effort. She went to the street and saw a robber chief, strong in body and with firm muscles. She said to him: Venerable one, do you dare to enjoy yourself with my mistress? He said: I dare. She took him and gave him to the mistress, and he enjoyed himself with her. The Venerable Ekachara went there frequently and saw this. The Venerable Ekachara thought: This woman's place is a place of lust! So, he said to her some words that were not praises of lust. She thought: The Holy Ekachara is skilled at knowing the minds of others, so he has seen through me. If I don't kill him, he will expose my household affairs and will harm me. I should kill him. So, she said to the robber chief: The Holy Ekachara is skilled at knowing the minds of others, so he has seen through us. If I don't kill him, he will expose my household affairs and will harm us. You kill him! The robber chief said: I will not kill him. He is a childhood friend of King Sheng Guang of Kosala, and he is also the teacher of the lotus woman. If I kill him, the king will put me in a firewood room and burn me to death. I will end up in such a situation. She said: If you kill him, that would be great. If you don't kill him, you will not be allowed to enter my house again! Those who crave pleasure will do anything bad, so the robber chief said: If he is skilled at knowing the minds of others, how can I kill him? She said: Think of a way! So, she sent a messenger to the Venerable Ekachara before the time was ripe, saying: Venerable Ekachara, if you would like to come to my house for a meal, please come.

What instructions do you have? Those Arhats are not allowed to know and see without thinking. The Venerable Charka also entered at an improper time, and after teaching the Dharma to him, he began to come out. He said: Holy one, I am very happy to see you, please stay for a moment. He held the Venerable Charka in that way until it was very late at night. The commander of the thieves also drew his sword from its sheath and stood at the door. Then, when the Venerable Charka came out, the commander of the thieves, with a heart devoid of compassion, that one who sent to the next world, cut off the Venerable Charka's head from the neck and knocked him to the ground. An old woman saw the holy one being killed and said: Who is this who is doing evil? The commander of the thieves said: Don't say anything to anyone. I will make you like him too. She was frightened and immediately dared not speak. She thought, perhaps some people will come later to trace the footsteps of this great being, so she stayed there without saying anything. Those two, with hearts devoid of compassion, who sent to the next world, hid the body of the Venerable Charka in a pile of garbage. That day, sitting next to the elder who was in charge of the Uposatha, he said: Has anyone accepted the wish of the monk Charka? The monk Charka is no more. Then, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, they have killed the best of the householder believers, and the robes and his body should be offered. When the Blessed One, the Holy One, reached the gate of Shravasti, the Blessed One emitted a light like gold, and all of Shravasti became illuminated with a light like pure gold. King Prasenajit, who appeared in Kosala, thought: Why has all of Shravasti become illuminated with a light like pure gold? He thought again: The Blessed One must surely be intending to pass into Nirvana. So, taking the queen's entourage and carrying the key to Shravasti, he opened the gate, and the Blessed One had already gone to Shravasti.

King Prasenajit of Kosala thought: Why did the Blessed One not go to Sravasti when the time was right? The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, are difficult to approach and difficult to tolerate, so he was unable to report to the Buddha, the Blessed One. The Blessed One, together with the Sangha of Hearers, proceeded forward, and King Prasenajit of Kosala, together with the retinue of the queen, followed the Blessed One closely. When they arrived at the place where the piles of refuse were, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, take out the best of the faithful householders hidden here. When it was taken out, those who, relying on the elder Kasyapa, saw the noble truths, requested: This is our virtuous friend, Blessed One, will you allow us to make offerings to his body? The Blessed One did not allow it. King Prasenajit of Kosala requested: This is my young friend, Blessed One, will you allow me to make offerings to his body? The Blessed One did not allow it. Queen Mallika requested: This is my teacher, Blessed One, will you allow me to make offerings to his body? The Blessed One allowed it. Then, Queen Mallika had the body of the elder Kasyapa smeared with white clay, bathed with fragrant water, decorated the coffin with cloths of various colors, and placed it there. Then, the Blessed One, together with the Sangha of Hearers, proceeded forward, and the king and the retinue of the queen followed closely behind, and placed it in a wide open space. Queen Mallika piled up all kinds of fragrant wood into a pyre and burned it, extinguished the fire with milk, put the ashes in a golden vase, and had a stupa of the body built at the crossroads of the main road, raising umbrellas, banners, and flags, and making offerings with incense, garlands, scattered objects, incense, powders, and musical instruments.
