Having heard that she was most excellent in terms of wealth, he gave that girl to the son of Anathapindika, the householder, in Shravasti. Anathapindika, the householder, also took her as his son's wife with the splendor of wealth. When the wife of the householder Realized Virtue, who rejoiced, delighted, and enjoyed pleasure, became pregnant, from the very day she became pregnant, the householder Realized Virtue suffered a hundred misfortunes. The more the fetus grew in the womb, the more frequently the householder Realized Virtue suffered great misfortunes. The householder Realized Virtue thought: 'I should go and stay in the pleasure garden.' So he instructed those who provided food: 'Wise ones, if a great misfortune befalls me, inform me; if not, do not inform me.' Having instructed thus, he went and stayed in the pleasure garden. Then, at another time, his wife gave birth to a boy, and on the very day he was born, the householder Realized Virtue suffered a thousand misfortunes. Then a man hurried to where the householder Realized Virtue was. The householder Realized Virtue saw that man coming quickly from afar and thought: 'Surely a great misfortune has befallen me.' So he said to that man: 'Hey, why are you coming so quickly?' The man said: 'Rejoice, for your son is born!' Realized Virtue said: 'Hey, my son has brought hundreds of thousands of misfortunes, but it is good that a son has come.' His relatives gathered and assembled, thinking: 'What should we name this boy?' They thought: 'Since the father said the words "It is good that he has come" to this boy, let us name this boy "Well-Come."' So they named him "Well-Come." The more Well-Come grew, the more the house of the householder Realized Virtue was filled with wealth, grain, property, gold, servants, maids, workers, and those who provided food.

It was exhausted. Then at another time, the householder Awakened One also passed away, and his wife also passed away. His house was also burned by fire. The appearance of the storehouse, the appearance of the fields, the appearance of the wealth, the appearance of the grains, all were burned by fire. The villagers, all those who took goods and went to other places, some of them had their large ships wrecked in the great ocean. Some of them had their goods become non-goods. Some of them suffered there due to impropriety. Some of them stayed there and did not even speak. Relatives, some of them passed away. Some of them fled. Some of them stayed there and did not even speak. Slaves and, female slaves and, servants and, those who lived on leftovers, some of them passed away. Some of them fled. Some of them stayed there and did not even speak. An old female slave of the householder Awakened One, who alone served Well-Come, sent Well-Come to the children's class to learn writing and letters. That old woman thought: The house of the householder Awakened One, possessing many riches, completely exhausted and finally ended, due to whose lack of merit did it become like this? Is it mine? Or is it due to Well-Come's lack of merit that it became like this? Thinking to see, so when she planted seedlings in the name of Well-Come, the seedlings withered. When she planted seedlings in her own name, the seedlings grew. Then she thought: This is an unfortunate being, because of this person's fault, the house of the householder Awakened One, possessing many riches, was exhausted due to impropriety, and I too, because of this person's fault, will suffer due to impropriety, if it will definitely become such a situation, then how should I treat this person? Then she thought: Let me flee. So that old woman also took whatever little precious things were there and fled. In the empty house, dogs entered, ate food, and began to fight. A deceitful person passing by from that direction heard the sound of dogs fighting in that house, and then he thought: Is the house of the householder Awakened One empty? How could it be like this, here dogs are fighting and living. Let me go and see.

Then he entered there. After a while, he saw many dog thieves fighting, but there was no one there, it was empty. So he took the remaining leftovers from there and left. Afterwards, Lek-ong thought, "Let's eat some tsampa," and came out of the children's monastery and entered there. After a while, he saw it was empty, so he called out, "Mama, Mama," but no one answered. Not far from there, there was a relative's house, so he entered there. After a while, the people there also started arguing. When those arguments subsided, they said to each other, "Wise ones, when I saw you before, I thought you were lovely, but now when I see you, I think of killing you." Others also said the same to each other, and they thought, "Has someone else come here?" So they looked, and after a while, they saw Lek-ong coming, and they said, "Wise ones, this is not Lek-ong, but an evil-ong. Because of him, we have started arguing." So they drove him away, and he went somewhere else. There, the people were the same as before, and they said the same thing, drove him away, and sent him away. He entered among the beggars. After a while, those beggars also came out empty-handed and with empty bowls, and they said, "Wise ones, when we entered before, we came back full, with our hands and bowls full. Now we have come back empty-handed and with empty bowls, what is the reason for this?" They said, "Because a sentient being without merit has entered among us, that is why we have come back empty-handed and with empty bowls." They also said, "Let's think carefully, let's split our mouths in two and then enter." So they split their mouths in two and entered. Those into whom Lek-ong entered came out empty-handed and with empty bowls. They also split their mouths in two and entered. Those into whom Lek-ong entered came out empty-handed and with empty bowls. They...
