Then he went again and again for that reason. At another time, after prostrating to the Blessed One and the elder monks, he went to where the venerable Gada Purnava was, and after arriving, he bowed his head to the two feet of the venerable Gada Purnava and sat down in front to listen to the Dharma. At that time, the monks Mitra and Bhumija found a foot-washing cloth, and these two had only been together with the venerable Gada Purnava life after life, and were always diligent in seeking faults, so Mitra said: Bhumija, where should this foot-washing cloth that we found be washed? Bhumija said: There is a stone-walled pond, where there are few people and the surroundings are clean, let's go there. The two of them took the foot-washing cloth and went to the stone-walled pond, and the two of them washed the foot-washing cloth there, spread it out in the sun to dry. At that time, the edge of the venerable Gada Purnava's Dharma robe was moved by the wind and touched the head of the Bhikkhuni Utpala. When Mitra saw this, he said: Bhumija, Gada Purnava has committed a Sanghavasesa offense of bodily contact with the Bhikkhuni Utpala, let's go and tell the monks. Bhumija said: Venerable Mitra, at that time we two were expelled from the Sangha, do you want us to be expelled from the Sangha again now? Mitra said: Venerable Bhumija, that time it was not true, so it was like that, but this time I am telling the truth. Didn't the Blessed One say that the so-called "Lamba" refers to the hair and the clothes related to it? How could this venerable one have false words? Come, let's go and tell the monks. Bhumija was deceived by Mitra and became compliant, and the two of them went to the monastery and said to the monks: Venerable ones, we two saw that the venerable Gada Purnava had committed a Sanghavasesa offense of bodily contact with the Bhikkhuni Utpala. Whose faith or trust should we two act upon? The monks said

Asked: "Venerable ones, have you two completely abandoned gods and humans, and only reside in hells, pretas, and animals? Why do you two falsely accuse those Arhat monks of Sanghavasesa offenses, those who are meditators of the eight liberations, capable of displaying extraordinary human Dharma magical transformations?" The two said: "Venerable ones, we are not falsely accusing; we have seen it with our own eyes, and we would rather have our eyes gouged out. World-Honored One, what did you see? How did you see it? Where did you see it? For what reason did you two arrive there, and see it there? Please explain and investigate in detail." After the World-Honored One gave this instruction, the monks asked the two: "What did you see? How did you see it? Where did you see it? For what reason did you two arrive there, and see it there? Please explain and investigate in detail." After many monks explained and investigated in detail, the two said: "Venerable ones, the venerable Gyadbu Norla, together with the Bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, committed the Sanghavasesa offense of physical contact. We two personally saw the venerable Gyadbu Norla speaking with desire, speaking with hatred, delusion, and fear." Why do a few monks falsely accuse those pure and undefiled monks, groundlessly accusing them of Sanghavasesa offenses? Why do they scold, slander, and speak harshly to them? At that time, the monks reported this matter to the World-Honored One. After that, the World-Honored One, because of this event, this origin, and this cause, convened the Sangha of monks, etc., just as before. Do the Buddhas, the World-Honored Ones, act knowingly? etc., also as before. The Buddha, the World-Honored One, rebuked the two, Friend and Earth-Born: "Monks, is it true that you two, out of anger and hatred, falsely accuse those pure and undefiled monks of Sanghavasesa offenses?" "Venerable One, it is not." The Buddha, the World-Honored One

The Extinguisher condemned, saying that it is not the behavior of a Shramana, not in accordance, not permissible, not in accordance with the rules, these are not things that a renunciate should do. Then, after the Bhagavan condemned in various ways, he said to the monks: Monks, therefore, observing the ten benefits accurately, one should establish the basis for the training of the Shravakas in the Vinaya, and so on, as before. My Shravakas should recite the basis of training in the Vinaya in this way: If any monk, being angry and harboring malice, groundlessly accuses a pure and innocent monk of a Sanghavasesa offense, he commits a Patayantika. Among them, any monk means a friend, or one born from the earth, or any other such person. Being angry means being agitated. Harboring malice means being displeased, that is, the agitation is not revealed. A pure monk means the venerable Gyatbu Nor, or any other such person. Innocent means not having the downfall of that offense. Groundlessly means without the three grounds, that is, without the ground of seeing, without the ground of hearing, and without the ground of suspicion. With a Sanghavasesa offense means any of the thirteen offenses, that is, speaking of what is not Dharma as the sound of Dharma. Accusing means making an accusation. Committing a Patayantika means burning, cooking, falling into sentient hell, animals, hungry ghosts, evil realms, evil paths, and wrong views. Furthermore, as long as that Patayantika is not confessed and separately confessed, it will hinder virtuous Dharmas, therefore it is said to commit a Patayantika. So, how does one commit a Patayantika? Accusing a pure person with ten grounds will commit a Patayantika, but with five grounds, one will not commit a Patayantika. How does one commit a Patayantika with ten grounds? He has not seen, has not heard, and does not suspect, but he changes his mind, changes his patience, desire, wisdom, discrimination, and view, and says: I have seen, I have heard, I suspect.
