想到如果他们打败我们是不行的，那些人又进入了水下。那些人一次又一次地浮上来观看，六群不再显现，那些人想他们还在水下，那些人说：有寿命者们，六群把衣服藏起来走了。商议之后，一件衣服也不显现，那些人说：有寿命者们，他们戏弄了我们，那些人从水池里出来，坐在一边。有寿命者舍利子和，大目犍连二人与五百眷属在拘萨罗国游行时，到了胜林园，当他们看到胜林园空无一人时，二人说道：佛陀等比丘僧众去哪里了？一个施主迎请走了。二人说道：我们也去那里化斋吧，二人前往，当有寿命者舍利子看到十七群在水池边嬉戏玩耍。看到后，有寿命者大目犍连对他说：看看弟子们的行为。有寿命者大目犍连说：不听我的话，我能怎么办？有寿命者大目犍连对十七群说：年轻人，如果太阳落山前可以，一起去游泳吧。那些人说：堪布六群把我们的衬裙藏起来了。有寿命者大目犍连心想：是拿着走了呢，还是藏在这里了呢？当他看到确实藏在这里时，就拿起来给了他们。十七群穿上衣服向那里走去，有寿命者舍利子和，目犍连二人在清点比丘时，十七群也在扰乱比丘们的清点。比丘们对他们说：有寿命者们，有寿命者舍利子和，大目犍连二人是做了调伏的事情回来的，那二人暂时清点比丘是可以的，你们在做什么？

Thinking that it would not be right if they defeated us, those people went under the water again. Those people came up again and again to look, but the group of six was no longer visible. Those people thought that they were still under the water, and those people said: Venerable ones, the group of six has hidden the clothes and left. After discussing, not even one piece of clothing appeared, and those people said: Venerable ones, they have tricked us. Those people came out of the pond and sat on one side. The Venerable Shariputra and the Great Maudgalyayana, with five hundred followers, were traveling in the country of Kosala when they went to the Jeta Grove. When they saw the Jeta Grove empty, the two said: Where have the Buddha and the Sangha of monks gone? A patron has invited them. The two said: Let us also go there to beg for alms. The two went, and when the Venerable Shariputra saw the group of seventeen playing by the pond. After seeing them, the Venerable Maudgalyayana said to him: Look at the behavior of the disciples. The Venerable Maudgalyayana said: They do not listen to my words, what can I do? The Venerable Maudgalyayana said to the group of seventeen: Young men, if it is possible before sunset, let's go swimming together. Those people said: The abbot, the group of six, has hidden our undergarments. The Venerable Maudgalyayana thought: Did they take them away, or did they hide them here? When he saw that they were indeed hidden there, he picked them up and gave them to them. The group of seventeen put on their clothes and went there, and when the Venerable Shariputra and Maudgalyayana were counting the monks, the group of seventeen was also disrupting the counting of the monks. The monks said to them: Venerable ones, the Venerable Shariputra and the Great Maudgalyayana have returned after doing the work of taming, it is appropriate for those two to temporarily count the monks, what are you doing?

做了之后，现在来到这里使比丘们迷惑。他们说：诸位长老，如果我们的亲教师没有认可我们，我们就会被断绝食物。为什么？他们详细地讲述了那个情况，并且责骂那些少欲的比丘们，说：为什么比丘们要藏匿比丘的衣服？进行诽谤，恶语相向。比丘们将那个情况禀告了世尊。然后，世尊因为这件事，这个缘起，这个情况而召集了比丘僧团，等等，如同之前一样。诸佛世尊是明知而作，等等，也如同之前一样。佛世尊呵责六众说：比丘们，你们藏匿比丘的衣服是真的吗？尊者，是真的。佛世尊呵责说：这不是沙门的行径，不随顺，不如法，不合规矩，这不是出家人应该做的事情。然后，世尊以多种方式呵责之后，对比丘们说：比丘们，因此，为了如实地看到十种利益，应当为声闻们制定律藏的学处，等等，如同之前一样。我的声闻们应当这样诵读律藏的学处：如果任何比丘藏匿比丘，或者比丘尼，或者式叉摩尼，或者沙弥，或者沙弥尼的钵，或者衣服，或者坐具，或者食器，或者腰带，或者任何沙门的生活用具，或者让他人藏匿，就犯堕罪。世尊就这样为声闻们制定了律藏的学处。一位比丘将衣服塞到另一位比丘的手中，发生了恐惧，那位比丘藏匿了自己的衣服，却没有藏匿那位比丘的衣服，那些不予取的人抢走了那些东西，导致那位比丘变得贫困。比丘们将那个情况禀告了世尊，世尊说道：就这样

Having done that, they now come here and confuse the monks. They said: Venerable ones, if our preceptor does not approve of us, we will be cut off from food. Why? They explained the situation in detail, and scolded those monks who were of few desires, saying: Why do the monks hide the clothes of the monks? They reviled and spoke harshly. The monks reported the situation to the Blessed One. Then, because of this event, this origin, this situation, the Blessed One convened the assembly of monks, and so on, as before. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, act knowingly, and so on, also as before. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked the group of six, saying: Monks, is it true that you hide the clothes of the monks? Venerable ones, it is true. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked them, saying: This is not the conduct of a renunciate, it is not in accordance, it is not proper, it is not in accordance with the rules, this is not something that a renunciate should do. Then, after rebuking them in various ways, the Blessed One said to the monks: Monks, therefore, having truly seen the ten benefits, the training rules of the Vinaya should be established for the hearers, and so on, as before. My hearers should recite the training rules of the Vinaya in this way: If any monk hides the bowl, or the clothes, or the mat, or the eating utensils, or the belt, or any of the requisites for the life of a renunciate, of a monk, or a nun, or a female trainee, or a novice, or a female novice, or causes another to hide them, he commits an offense entailing expiation. In this way, the Blessed One established the training rules of the Vinaya for the hearers. A monk stuffed clothes into the hand of another monk, and fear arose. That monk hid his own clothes, but did not hide the clothes of that monk, and those who took without being given stole those things, causing that monk to become impoverished. The monks reported the situation to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said: Thus
