After inviting, thinking to borrow the parasol from the venerable one, the Blessed One thought that now is the time, thus invited. Then, the Blessed One, in the morning, wearing the lower garment, carrying the bowl and Dharma robes, surrounded by the assembly of monks, with the Sangha of monks leading the way, went to the field of the merchant Lalasya's Kadaka, and upon arriving, sat down on the seat that was laid out in front of the Sangha of monks. Then, the merchant Lalasya, knowing that the Buddha and the Sangha of monks were seated comfortably, personally satisfied and offered clean and delicious food. After personally satisfying and offering various kinds of clean and delicious food, knowing that the Blessed One was shaded by the parasol and had washed his hands and put down the bowl, he took a very low seat, and the couple sat before the Blessed One to listen to the Dharma. The Blessed One understood the thoughts, habits, dispositions, and nature of the merchant Lalasya and his wife, and in any case, he taught the Dharma in such a way that the merchant Lalasya and his wife would destroy the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates with the vajra of wisdom, thereby manifesting the fruit of stream-entry. Having seen the truth, he reported: Venerable one, I rely on the virtuous friend, the Blessed One, and the Blessed One has done such benefit for me, which neither father nor mother has done for me, nor has the king done, nor have the gods done, nor have the ancestors of the past done, nor have the ascetics and Brahmins done, nor have the loving ones, friends, and relatives done, the ocean of blood and tears has been dried up, rescued from the mountain of bones, the doors of the lower realms have been closed, the doors of heaven and liberation have been opened, the beings have been pulled out from hell, animals, and hungry ghosts, and placed among gods and humans, samsara has been ended, the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the aggregates accumulated from beginningless time have been destroyed by the vajra of wisdom.

Having attained the fruit of entering the stream, I, a monk, have truly entered. I, a monk, have truly entered, and I, a monk, take refuge in the Blessed One, the Dharma, and the Sangha of monks. I beseech you to accept me as a lay follower. From this day forward, for as long as I live, I will take refuge from the depths of my heart. Then, the Blessed One, with teachings in accordance with the Dharma, truly showed, guided, encouraged, and delighted the merchant Tralama Tho. In many ways, with teachings in accordance with the Dharma, he truly showed, guided, encouraged, and delighted him, and then rose from his seat and departed. This is only a temporary occurrence. The Buddha, the Blessed One, does not yet establish the basis of training for the Shravakas in the Vinaya. 《Vinaya-vibhanga》,Volume 51.

The Blessed One, at Kalava, folded his hands in reverence and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, would you allow me to offer alms to the Sangha of monks at my home tomorrow? The Blessed One did not speak to the householder Dhragshula, indicating permission. Then, the householder Dhragshula, knowing that the Blessed One's silence meant permission, departed from the presence of the Blessed One and said to those who lived on yogurt: Wise ones, the Blessed One and the Sangha of monks will be coming, please prepare clean food and abundant merit. They prepared clean food and abundant merit. Then, the householder Dhragshula woke up early the next morning, prepared the seats, and set out water, inviting the Blessed One: Venerable one, if the Venerable one wishes to accept alms, the time has come, please allow me to invite you. The group of six said: Gava, Niga, let's go to the houses we can go to. Let's do it that way. They saw a beggar and said: Come here, we are going to the houses we can go to. So they took him, and they entered the vast city very early, going to the houses they could go to, and they said: Holy ones, please dine. The group of six said: We have been invited. By whom? By the householder Dhragshula. They said: Holy ones, then please enjoy the mangoes. Let's do it that way. They ate the mangoes. That beggar did not eat, and they said: Holy one, you also enjoy the mangoes. He said: I am a one-seat eater. They said: Then take it and eat it right there. He filled a small bowl and went there, and the Sangha of monks was sitting. The Blessed One was dwelling in a place made of jewels, manifestly engaging in alms-seeking. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, dwell in a place made of jewels for five reasons and manifestly engage in alms-seeking. What are the five? Wishing to abide correctly within, and wishing to teach the Dharma to the gods.
