Then, about five hundred merchants prepared the goods to go to the great ocean. Then, Captain Bya gag performed auspicious, propitious, and good deeds, and loaded many goods onto carts, loads, implements, camels, mules, oxen, and donkeys, and set out for the great ocean with those merchants. There were five people there: the collector, the adjudicator, the cleaner, the water bailer, and the sail holder. Who is the collector? It is the one who prepares food and drink. Who is the adjudicator? It is the one who pacifies all disputes. Who is the cleaner? It is the one who repairs the ship. Who is the water bailer? It is the one who bails out water. Who is the sail holder? It is the one who observes the stars. When they finally reached the seashore, those merchants were frightened upon seeing the great ocean and were unwilling to board the great ship. The world is such that many ordinary people enter the great ship because they desire wealth, and because the great ship cannot bear them, the helmsman Biyayika thinks: What should I say now to make them come out? Then he said to the sail handler: Hey! Proclaim the truth, not the praise, of the great ocean! Then the sail handler began to proclaim: Listen, wise merchants of Jambudvipa! In this great ocean, there are such great fears as these: the fear of great fish, the fear of being swallowed by great fish, the fear of being swallowed by what has been swallowed by great fish, the fear of waves, the fear of whirlpools, the fear of crocodiles (藏文，梵文天城体，kumbhīra，梵文罗马拟音，kumbhīra，汉语：俱毗罗), the fear of crocodiles killing children, the fear of encountering mountains emerging from the water, and the fear of black winds. Here, robbers and plunderers, blue and white, will also come, and they will completely take the lives of all of you. Therefore, whoever among you does not wish to abandon himself, his parents, his children, his wife, his slaves, his female slaves, his servants, his wage earners, his friends, and his ministers, his relatives, and his bad in-laws, then do not enter the great ocean! The world is such that there are few heroes and many fools, so many ordinary people came out, and thus the ship could bear them. When the merchants heard this, they gathered their minds and dwelt with caution.
