Because there are many people, even begging is hard to find here. If there is a little leftover, please give it away. If there is nothing at all, we will leave. Living beings, there is nothing, go quickly! They left from there and went to Sravasti. After they arrived there, they promised to spend the next rainy season there. After the rainy season passed, those like-minded people came again. They prostrated to the stupa with verses as before. After entering the monastery, seeing the monastery empty, they thought: Are the monks meditating inside? Or have they gone out to beg for alms? They wandered around there and saw two elderly monks. They said: Venerables, where have the monks gone? Good-faced ones, there are no monks living here. Venerables, didn't we offer alms for three months to sixty monks? The two monks said: The monks came and ate everything during the rainy season and then left. Which monks did you two bring? The Six Groups of monks? Venerables, you two went to the great ocean and brought back mani jewels. Are there no other monks there? Or did you only bring the Six Groups of monks? Those renunciates of the Shakya clan, their renunciation is nonsense! The behavior of Brahmins is also nonsense! Like this, the sprout of our faith that has just arisen is destroyed, they squander wantonly, and speak abusively. At that time, the monks reported this matter to the Blessed One. Then, because of this event, this origin, this occasion, the Blessed One gathered the Sangha, and so on, just like before. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, knowingly commit offenses, and so on, just like before. The Buddha, the Blessed One, rebuked the Six Groups of monks: Monks, is it true that you divided the gains of the rainy season during the rainy season? Venerable, yes. The Buddha, the Blessed One, said, this is not the behavior of a renunciate, it is not in accordance, it is not lawful, it is not in accordance with the rules, a renunciate should not do this.

He condemned it, saying it was not something to be done. Then, after the Blessed One had condemned it in many ways, he addressed the monks: Monks, therefore, you should truly see the ten benefits and establish the basis of learning for the hearers in the Vinaya, as before. The basis of learning for the hearers in the Vinaya should be recited as follows: Therefore, monks should not distribute the gains of summer during the summer. If monks distribute the gains of summer during the summer, they will commit a serious offense. Thus the Blessed One established the basis of learning for the hearers in the Vinaya. The Buddha, the Blessed One, was staying in Jetavana in Anathapindika's grove in Shravasti. In Shravasti, there were the nuns Mahā-prajāpatī Gautamī and Dharma-dinnā. Mahā-prajāpatī Gautamī, although without a retinue, possessed the qualities of renunciation, while Dharma-dinnā, although with a retinue of Sūtra-followers, was mixed with the Sūtra-followers. The two of them promised to stay in a summer residence together. When Mahā-prajāpatī Gautamī's retinue arose, Dharma-dinnā said to her own retinue: Sisters, whatever the Blessed One has allowed for nuns, such as ordination and full acceptance, and the possessions of nuns, all depend on Mahā-prajāpatī Gautamī. The Blessed One has also said that a person who protects the minds of others generates much merit. Therefore, you should also meditate on the impermanent nature for a while. They also began to meditate on the impermanent nature. When Dharma-dinnā's retinue arose, Mahā-prajāpatī Gautamī also said to her own retinue: Sisters, whatever the Blessed One has attained to unsurpassed knowledge by practicing austerities for three countless eons, completing countless hundreds of thousands of pāramitās, all of that is the cause of benefiting all. The Blessed One also

It is said that a person who protects the minds of others accumulates a lot of merit. Therefore, I advise you to temporarily recite all the sutras on impermanence. They also begin to recite all the sutras on impermanence. When the nuns protect each other's minds in this way, good dharmas do not increase, just like a lotus without water. A layperson named Saga had great faith in Dharma Giving, and he invited her as a guest with all his belongings. At another time, the layperson Saga came to pay homage to Dharma Giving's feet. Dharma Giving said to him: Good woman, many nuns have vowed to stay in one summer retreat, but they protect each other's minds, and good dharmas do not increase, just like a lotus without water. Can you build a summer retreat for the bhikkhuni sangha? He said: Holy Mother, I have some karshapanas, because the land belongs to the king, please ask the king for the land, and I will build a summer retreat there. The bhikkhuni Dharma Giving went to Queen Flower Garland. Queen Flower Garland said: Holy Mother, it is good that you have come! Giving is good! Why has the Holy Mother come? I want to build a summer retreat for the bhikkhunis, but the land belongs to the king, and I need to ask the king for the land. Holy Mother, please return, and I will pray to the gods for you. After Dharma Giving left, Queen Flower Garland went to King Light of Kosala and said to him: God, it is a good gain that the Holy Mother Dharma Giving has come to your palace. Why has she come? She wants to build a summer retreat for the bhikkhunis, and she says that because the land belongs to the king, she needs to ask the king for the land. The king said: If the Holy Mother Dharma Giving wants to stay here for a while, she can stay here, and I can build it for her in another palace of mine. If she does not want to stay,
