If dawn appears in the courtyard, there is no offense. If the monastic robes are placed in the courtyard and then dawn appears inside, there is also no offense. If the monastic robes are placed inside or in the courtyard and then dawn appears elsewhere, it becomes an offense of expiation. What are the many different courtyards of heretical dwellings? For example, the many dwellings of followers of different people or countless siblings. What are the courtyards of those dwellings? They are each different. What is common? Nothing at all. What is the same courtyard of a heretical dwelling? For example, what is a heretical dwelling with the same view, the same patience, the same desire, and the same thought? What is the courtyard of that dwelling? It is all the inside, and a span of the outside, or where they lay down heavy things, place firewood, and sacrificial pits, tree bark, branches, grains, spoons, measures, light fires, burn firewood, and where they pound, strike, grind, cook, eat, drink, and what the children do, that is the courtyard of that dwelling.
