Having begun to seek the manifestation of joy. At that time, the six teachers, including Purna, were not omniscient, but were arrogant with the pride of appearing to be omniscient, and when evil occurred, they would rely on and abide in it. Then, the young hero Gyabuja, without regard for his parents and wife's retinue, went to where Jivaka Purna was, and having arrived, said to Jivaka Purna: Wise one, what is your doctrine? What is the advice to disciples? What is the fruit of pure conduct? What is the benefit? Purna said: Young man, I see and speak thus: There is no giving. There is no sacrifice. There is no burnt offering. There is no good conduct. There is no bad conduct. There is no fruit or maturation of the actions of good and bad conduct. There is no this world. There is no other world. There is no mother. There is no father. There are no spontaneously born beings. There are no Arhats in the world who have truly realized and truly practiced, who in this very life, through their own superknowledge, have manifested and proven this world and the other world, and who make us understand: My birth is exhausted, pure conduct has been established, what had to be done has been done, there will be no other existence. Life lives in this very life, and afterwards it will dissipate, it will perish, and after death it will not arise again. The body of a person is made of the four great elements, and when he dies, his earth body will dissolve into the nature of earth, his water body will dissolve into the nature of water, his fire body will dissolve into the nature of fire, and his wind body will dissolve into the nature of wind. The senses will follow the sky. People carry the corpse of the dead on five biers, going to the cemetery, and will disappear until cremation. What is to be burned will turn to ashes. The bones will remain like the color of pigeons. In this way, ignorance is close to giving, wisdom is close to receiving, and all those who say that there is existence are empty, false lies. In this way, fools and wise men, afterwards...

will perish, will be destroyed, and will not arise after death. Then, the son of the wealthy man thought: This wise teacher has gone astray, considering the bad path as good practice. Just as a path full of dangers should be avoided by the wise. Having recognized this, he spoke this verse: A foolish person, a guide to the wrong path, Is known as an inferior teacher. His teachings are like this, What difference is there from non-dharma? After speaking, he left, smashing it like an empty vessel. After that, the son of the wealthy man went to where the son of the black house, the wanderer, was, and after arriving, he said these words to the son of the black house, the wanderer: Wise one, what is your teaching? What is the instruction to the disciples? What is the fruit of pure conduct? What is the benefit? The wanderer said: Young man, I see and say like this: All sentient beings become afflicted, without cause, without condition. Sentient beings become afflicted without cause, without condition. Sentient beings become purified, without cause, without condition. Sentient beings become purified without cause, without condition. Sentient beings become without awareness, become without seeing, without cause, without condition. Sentient beings become without awareness and without seeing without cause, without condition. All sentient beings and all living beings and all beings have no power, no strength, no authority, no diligence, no conquering others. The existence of wandering in samsara is certain. Like this, in the six realms, happiness and suffering will be experienced separately. Then, the son of the wealthy man thought:

That wise teacher also went astray, considering the evil path as the good path. Wise people should avoid it as they would avoid a dangerous road. Thinking this, he spoke this verse: Evil wisdom, leading to the wrong path, is known as a base teacher. His teachings are so vile, what is not like his teachings? Having said this, he left like striking an empty vessel. Then, that giant named Victorious Light went to where Victorious Light, the son of the daughter of Nosmoda, was, and said to Victorious Light: Wise one, what is your teaching? What is the instruction for disciples? What is the fruit of pure conduct? What is the benefit? Victorious Light said: Young man, I see and say this: to do, and to cause to do; to cut, and to cause to cut; to burn, and to cause to burn; to strike, and to cause to strike; to harm living beings; to take what is not given; to engage in sexual misconduct; to knowingly lie; to drink intoxicating beverages; to break into houses; to untie bundles; to rob; to block roads and sit; to destroy villages; to destroy towns; to destroy countries. On this great earth, whatever sentient beings exist, all of them are completely cut with a wheel-made razor's edge. They are completely piled up. They are completely struck. They are completely torn apart. All those sentient beings are completely cut, completely killed, completely struck, completely tormented, made into a single pool of flesh, a single heap of flesh, a single mass of flesh, a single mountain of flesh. Having made a single pool of flesh, a single heap of flesh, a single mass of flesh, a single mountain of flesh, now they are constantly creating. From that basis, there is no sin greater than that, and there is no action more sinful than that. From the south of the Ganges River, they constantly cut, constantly pile up, constantly strike, constantly tear apart and go. From the north of the Ganges River, they give alms.
