Just as it was, he would allocate food without exceeding. The Venerable Gyadbu Nor and the two monks, Friend and Earth-born, had enmity for lifetimes. As these two wandered and walked in the mountains of the gods, they went to Rajagriha (present-day Rajasthan), and these two asked a monk: Venerable, has the Sangha appointed someone to allocate dwellings? He said: The Venerable is Gyadbu Nor. Then these two went to where the Venerable Gyadbu Nor was and said to the Venerable Gyadbu Nor: Please allocate dwellings for us two. At that time, all the good bedding had been occupied by the permanent residents, and only the bad ones were left. The temples that were nearby had also been designated by the permanent residents, and only the temples on the edge were left. The Venerable Gyadbu Nor allocated bad bedding for these two, and the temples were also allocated on the edge. These two said: Who is the one who allocates food for the Sangha? The Venerable Gyadbu Nor said: I, Gyadbu Nor. Please allocate food for us two. On the first day, the Venerable Gyadbu Nor allocated poor food for these two, and the Brahmins and faithful patrons asked: Who will come here as a guest tomorrow? Others said: The two, Friend and Earth-born. Those people thought: These two are practitioners of bad conduct, who would be respectful for these two? Let them eat whatever and leave, thinking this, those people did not respect these two and gave bad food. On the second day, the Venerable Gyadbu Nor allocated medium food for these two, and similarly, the Brahmins and faithful patrons asked: Who will come here as a guest tomorrow? Others said: The two, Friend and Earth-born. Those people thought: These two are practitioners of bad conduct, who would be respectful for these two? Let them eat whatever and leave, thinking this, those people did not respect these two and gave bad food.

was given. The Venerable Gyabu Nor on the third day designated those two as food of a bad nature. Then the two, Friend and Earth-born, thought thus: Alas, suffering! Alas, unbearable! The Venerable Gyabu Nor, knowingly, three times elevated himself with those bad foods that are extremely unpleasant and cause decay when eaten, what harm should we two do to him? At that time, the sister of the monks Friend and Earth-born, a nun named Nun Friend, was in Rajagriha, the nun's summer residence was in the king's pleasure garden. Then the nun Friend went to where the monks Friend and Earth-born were, and having arrived, she bowed her head to the feet of the monks Friend and Earth-born, and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the monks Friend and Earth-born did not speak to the nun Friend, did not greet her, did not look at her even a little, did not look at her closely. Then the nun Friend said this to the monks Friend and Earth-born: Venerable ones, why do you two not speak to me, not greet me, not look at me even a little, not look at me closely? Sister, we two have been knowingly elevated by the Venerable Gyabu Nor three times with those bad foods that are extremely unpleasant and cause decay when eaten, are you going to ignore that? Venerable ones, what should I do then? Sister, come here, go to where the Blessed One is, and having arrived, say this to the Blessed One: Venerable, this Venerable Gyabu Nor, having engaged in impure conduct with me and having been defeated, that is not beautiful and not in accordance with the rules. We two will also say this: Blessed One, it is so. Sugata, it is so. We two also know as our two sisters have said. Venerable ones, how can I purify the monks?
