Because it was well said, "Desiring virtue," therefore, your arising of desire for virtue is like the appearance of the Buddha, good, good! Sisters, please sit down, and I will teach you the Dharma. They prostrated to his two feet, and sat down in front to listen to the Dharma, and he began to teach them the Dharma. The way of teaching the Dharma is that the more he taught, the more he was filled with desire. The more he was filled with desire, the more he was torn apart. The more he was torn apart, the more he began to smear it on their limbs and extremities. For example, a person who recites secret mantras, being beaten by a ghost or a flesh-eating whip, just as he is beaten, he is also like that, the more he teaches them the Dharma, the more he is filled with desire. The more he is filled with desire, the more he is torn apart. The more he is torn apart, the more he begins to smear it on their limbs and extremities. Then, those who agree, together with him, shake the seats, wave their arms, shout praises, play everywhere, make noise everywhere, are arrogant, haughty, and twist their bodies. Those who do not agree, come out from there, in the walkways, courtyards, and doorways, saying, "From where water comes, from there it burns. From where there is protection, from there there is destruction. Fear arises from where there is no fear. Fear has arisen from the place of refuge." They curse, saying, "From the peace, tranquility, auspicious words, and auspicious transformations on our side, fear, plague, harm, and the conflict of infectious diseases have arisen." They blame each other and curse each other. When those who curse and desire are seen by the monks, hearing those curses, they say, "Sisters, who are you cursing?" They reply, "Venerables, we are cursing you." "What have we done?" "Venerables, our limbs and extremities, even the places that our family members would smear, have been smeared by the Venerable Charka. If our parents or siblings hear about it, they would not even give us the Karanda garden, let alone go there."

What else is needed? Sisters, be quiet! That monk is ordained from the son of a jester, possessing discipline, but because he has a lot of desire, that action will eliminate afflictions. Holy ones, what is it? Which bull has two sharp horns, will it split my nine orifices? That is the lineage. Sisters, be quiet, it should be stopped! Holy ones, if you stop it, that would be good. If you do not stop it, we will not go to the Jeta Grove anymore. Sisters, be quiet! In any case, from now on, it should be stopped from doing such things. The monks admonished them, and the remaining leftovers were also taken out of the temple and dumped. Then, the venerable Charka also came out of the temple laughing, and the monks saw him and said: Venerable Charka, you have done such a bad thing, why are you laughing now? Charka said: Did I drink alcohol? Did I eat garlic? Venerable, did you also do those things? What else did you do? The wives of Brahmins and householders mocked and dumped (food) a lot. Charka said: Venerable ones, the nature of those black-bowled monks is stingy, they do not say even one four-line verse to anyone, but they mock those who say it to others. They said: Did you establish those on the truth? He said: If you start to make their faculties fully mature, eventually you will gradually see the truth as well. Few monks, why do the monks scold, saying that with which limb one should be ashamed, they fill themselves with those very limbs? Giving help, at the time of speaking badly, the monks reported to the Bhagavan. Then, the Bhagavan, because of this event and this origin, and this occasion, convened the Sangha of monks, etc., as before. The Buddha Bhagavan rebuked the venerable Charka: Charka, is it true that you have done such a bad thing? Venerable, yes. The Buddha Bhagavan to the Sang

That which is not in accordance with the practice, not in accordance with, not proper, not in accordance with the rules, that is not the work of a renunciate, and is therefore condemned. Then, after the Blessed One had condemned it in various ways, he addressed the monks, saying: Monks, therefore, having truly seen the ten benefits, the basis of training for the hearers should be established in the Vinaya, as before. My hearers should recite the basis of training in the Vinaya in this way: Again, if any monk, with a lustful mind, touches the body of a woman, whether he takes her hand, or her arm, or her hair, or any limb, if he makes caressing and stroking his own, it is a Sanghavasesa. Again, the term "monk" refers to a beginner, or anyone similar to him. The term "with a lustful mind" means that there is a mind that is not defiled and has not changed, a mind that has changed but is not defiled, a mind that is defiled and has changed, and a mind that is neither defiled nor changed. Among these, for the moment, a mind that is not defiled and has not changed refers to a mind that has attachment, universal attachment, and complete entanglement. A mind that has changed but is not defiled refers to a mind that is dependent and a mind that is connected. A mind that is defiled and has changed refers to a mind that has attachment, universal attachment, and complete entanglement, and a mind that is dependent and connected. A mind that is neither defiled nor changed refers to situations other than those mentioned above. "Together with the realm of women" refers to a woman or a young woman who is capable of engaging in impure conduct and practicing the Dharma of sexual intercourse. "Touching the body" means measuring the body with the body. "Does" means becoming does. "Taking from the hand" means from the hand below the wrist. "Taking from the arm" means from above the wrist. The term "taking from the hair" means hair, etc., and the clothes related to it. "Any limb" refers to any form of limb other than taking from the hand and taking from the arm. "If he makes caressing and stroking his own" means tasting the flavor. Bi-
