The four types of monks are: nominal monks, self-proclaimed monks, monks for the sake of begging, and monks for the sake of destroying afflictions. What is a nominal monk? Whoever has the name and the designation of the name, as well as the second word, honorifics, concepts, appellations, designations, and terms as a monk, or a type of monk, or has become like a monk, that is called a nominal monk. What is a self-proclaimed monk? Whoever is not a monk but claims to be a monk, and takes a vow to be a monk by means of theft, that is called a self-proclaimed monk. What is a monk for the sake of begging? Whoever lives by practicing begging with the Dharma, that is called a monk for the sake of begging. What is a monk for the sake of destroying afflictions? Whoever has abandoned all the defilements of afflictions, as well as everything that causes rebirth, is accompanied by disease, matures into suffering, and will give rise to birth, old age, and death in the future, and has completely known, eradicated from the root, made invisible like the head of a palm tree, and has become a Dharma nature that will not arise in the future, that is called a monk for the sake of destroying afflictions. In this sense, since it is not appropriate to place the request and the fundamental action without wavering, whoever has received full ordination is considered a monk. Therefore, it is also said, "What is a monk?" "Human or" means: Whoever has obtained these six faculties in the mother's womb, namely the eye faculty, the ear faculty, the nose faculty, the tongue faculty, the body faculty, and the mind faculty. "Becoming a human" means: Whoever has obtained these three faculties in the mother's womb, namely the body faculty, the feeling faculty, and the mind faculty. "Intentionally" means, from discrimination onwards. "One's own handkerchief" means, wiping the handkerchief with one's hand. "Did you kill him?" means, if you killed him. "Did you strike him with a weapon?" means, with a knife or a razor or a water knife. "Did you touch him with a weapon?" means, a man or a woman, or

It is the year. What is meant by "causing him to die"? There are three ways of causing death: one who has broken the precepts, one who possesses the precepts, and a sick person. How does it apply to one who has broken the precepts? For example, if a monk who has broken the precepts is in need of a bowl, a robe, a net, a cup, a belt, or any of the necessities of a monk's life, he thinks to himself, "As long as this venerable one lives, I will not be able to obtain it. I will go to him and cause him to die." Having thought this, he goes to him and says, "Venerable one, you are one who has broken the precepts, one who has sinful qualities, one who is engaged in evil deeds with your body, speech, and mind. The longer you live, the more demerit will increase, and the more demerit increases, the longer you will be born in the hells of sentient beings." Having said this, the one who has broken the precepts says to the monk, "Venerable one, what should I do?" When he says this, the venerable one says, "Come here, give up yourself, kill yourself, let yourself be separated from life." If the one who has broken the precepts gives up himself, kills himself, or lets himself be separated from life, then that monk is defeated. If the one who has broken the precepts thinks, "Although it is so, I will not give up myself, I will not kill myself, I will not let myself be separated from life," and he says, "I will not give up myself, I will not kill myself, I will not let myself be separated from life," and he does not give up himself, does not kill himself, and does not let himself be separated from life, then that monk commits a grave offense by the previous action alone. If that monk, having spoken thus, feels remorse and goes to the one who has broken the precepts and says, Venerable one, know that children, fools, those who are unclear, those who are unwise, speak words rashly and carelessly, without examining them individually. Thus, the venerable one with a virtuous friend

If some relatives and friends are pleased, thereby arising the completely impure conduct of body, and establishing the completely pure conduct of body, and the completely impure conduct of speech and mind, thereby arising the completely pure conduct of speech and mind, in that way, the long-lived one's conduct of body is completely pure, and the conduct of speech and mind is completely pure, therefore, even if the body is destroyed, he will be born in the happy realm, in the heaven of the desire realm gods. If he says so. If that immoral one says to that monk, "O long-lived one, what should I do?" Then that monk says, "O long-lived one, do not abandon yourself, do not kill yourself, do not let yourself be separated from life." After saying that, if that immoral one does not abandon himself, does not kill himself, does not let himself be separated from life, then that monk, by that previous action alone, will commit a grave offense. If that immoral one thinks, "Even so, I will abandon myself, I will kill myself, I will let myself be separated from life." If he abandons himself, kills himself, lets himself be separated from life, then that monk, by that previous action alone, will commit a grave offense. For the immoral one, it is like that for the moment. How is it for the moral one? For example, if a moral monk lacks a bowl, or a robe, or a net, or a cup, or a belt, or any of the monk's living utensils, he thinks, "As long as this long-lived one is alive, I will not be able to obtain it, I should go to him and make him die." Thinking, he goes to that person and says, "The long-lived one is moral, possessing virtuous qualities, generous in giving, happy to extend his hand, happy to give, constantly making offerings, perfect in giving, giving alms."
