That will happen. They sat in silence, and the group of six said: "Joyful one, near-joyful one, Let them understand those things. Because of a minor offense, they fall into hell. The group of six entered the temple, did the work of food, and after the elders prostrated, they went to the Venerable Pilindavatsa and said to the Venerable Pilindavatsa: "Venerable, I prostrate! Venerable Aroka, Venerable, please grant permission! Grant permission for the five offenses!" Venerable, did you rescue the Brahmin's sons who were robbed by the thieves of the new moon night?" "Yes, I rescued them." Venerable, we hope that you, Venerable, will experience and abide in the joy of meditation, liberation, samadhi, and equanimity. We do not wish that you only have compassion for the Brahmin's sons, and not have compassion for the thieves of the new moon night. Please deal with the offense of rescuing the property of others according to the Dharma!" "I have not seen the offense." "Venerable ones, the Blessed One said that because the offense has not been seen, the karma of expulsion from the monastery should be performed. Who is the caretaker? Ring the bell!" Because the karma of expulsion from the monastery was to be performed, they went to the caretaker and said: "Venerable, ring the bell!" "Why?" "Because the Venerable Pilindavatsa does not repent of the offenses he has committed according to the Dharma, therefore the karma of expulsion from the monastery should be performed." At that time, the Venerable Shariputra was the abbot of the Sangha, and in order to prevent any heretical views contrary to the Dharma from arising in the teachings, he practiced all the rules of conduct, and so he said to the caretaker: "Venerable, who should abide completely? Who should abide completely from the root? Who should rejoice? Who should rejoice from the root? Who should give? Venerable, no one should do it. Because the Venerable Pilindavatsa does not repent of the offenses he has committed according to the Dharma, therefore, in order not to see the offense, the karma of expulsion from the monastery should be performed. Venerable, it is not appropriate for a monk to be arrogant to the abbot.

Similarly, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are omniscient, all-seeing, possessing supreme power over knowledge and what is to be known, and capable of dispelling all doubts, so go to them and ask. Whatever prophecy the Bhagavat makes to you, accept it as it is. At that time, the monks requested the Bhagavat, and the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, knowingly asked, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, questioned the venerable Piliṅgavatsa: Piliṅgavatsa, with what kind of thought did you display the miraculous power? Venerable one, I thought this: if I did not consider those children, those children would suffer because of separation from their parents, and the parents would also suffer because of separation from their children, and the non-believers would also find an opportunity, and the believers would also say: these swindlers have robbed all the children in the middle of winter, who will go to the Garden of Light in the future? In this way, the Garden of Light would become empty, so I displayed the miraculous power. The Bhagavat declared: Monks, there is no fault in Piliṅgavatsa displaying miraculous power with such a thought. Vinayavibhaṅga, Volume Seven. The Buddha Bhagavat was dwelling in Rajagṛha, in the Garden of Light, in the abode of Kalandaka. King Bimbisāra's practice was to go every day to pay homage to the Bhagavat and the elder monks. Once, King Bimbisāra went to the Bhagavat to pay homage, and sat before the Bhagavat to listen to the Dharma. The Bhagavat, with Dharma-related speech, taught, convinced, delighted, and greatly rejoiced King Bimbisāra, the craftsman from Magadha (located in southern Bihar, India today), who was sitting alone. In many ways, he taught with Dharma-related speech, convinced, delighted, and greatly rejoiced him.
