He dwelt at Rājagṛha in the Bamboo Grove, the Squirrels' Feeding Place. In Śrāvastī, there was a nun named Rimā, who was a victor among victors. A son of a perfume seller developed great faith in her. He prostrated at her two feet and said: "Holy mother, please tell me what you need, and I will do everything to fulfill your needs." He offered her all kinds of things, and she gladly accepted, saying: "Good, Arogya, so be it." After some time, the nun Rimā fell ill and did not go for alms. When the other nuns went for alms, the perfume seller's son prostrated to them and said: "Holy mothers, where has Holy Mother Rimā gone? She is not here for a while." They replied: "Good, she is not well." He said: "Holy mother, I have offered her all kinds of things, but she has never taken anything from me. Therefore, if she needs anything, please tell me." They replied: "Good, Arogya, so be it," and left. He requested this three times. Then, a young woman thought: "This perfume seller's son is offering again and again, is he really offering sincerely? Or is he just pretending? I should test him." So, she said to him: "Holy Mother Rimā needs sesame oil." She offered him a small bowl, and he immediately filled the small bowl with freshly squeezed sesame oil and gave it to her, saying: "Holy mother, if she needs anything else, please tell me." The young woman replied: "Good, Arogya, so be it," and left. She used the sesame oil for the nun Rimā's hand massage, foot massage, head and body massage, and lamp oil. After some time, the nun Rimā recovered from her illness and went for alms. The perfume seller's son saw her, prostrated to her, and said: "Holy mother, I have not seen you for a long time." She replied: "Child, I was sick." Holy mother, I have offered you all kinds of things, but you have never

Then it was also said, "There is such a noble woman, saying, 'Noble Rima, please give me sesame oil.'" I said, "I immediately pressed sesame oil on that noble woman's hand, filled a small bowl, and gave it to her." She said, "Ah, you didn't make a mistake, did you?" After saying that, she left. She went from house to house begging for alms, and then went to the summer palace, saying, "Young woman, have you ever used my name to get sesame oil from a certain young man who sells spices?" That young woman said, "Noble one, when I went out to beg for alms, he offered me everything three times, saying, 'Noble Rima, I offer you everything,' but he never asked me for anything in return. If you need something, please enjoy it." He offered me this again and again, and I thought, 'Is this a true offering, or is it because of lust that he offers it?' So I gave her a small bowl, saying, 'Noble Rima, please give me sesame oil.' She filled a small bowl with sesame oil and gave it to me. I used it to massage the noble woman's hands, feet, head, and body, and as lamp oil." She said, "Did she ever tell you several times, 'Go to him and get sesame oil'?" She never said it even once. At that time, another nun who was close to her said, "Noble one, do you think it's just like this? She used Noble Rima as an excuse to spread it all over Śrāvastī, and those who had committed serious crimes were all full." That nun felt remorse, thinking, "Have I committed a sin that leads to defeat?" So she told the other nuns about it. The nuns told the monks, and the monks reported it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One rebuked that nun, "Nun, with what kind of intention did you take the sesame oil?" The nun replied, "Blessed One, I took it with the intention of deceiving." The Blessed One said, "Monks, for this nun who has the intention of deceiving, there is no offense. Also, a monk or nun should not administer medicine to a sick person without asking them, but should treat the Sangha's illness in this way.

Should it be obtained from the hospital? Or from a faithful person? Even if there are many relatives, the patient should be asked which medicine should be used, and it should be obtained from what he says. If a monk or nun administers medicine to a patient without asking him, it will be a serious offense. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was staying in Jeta Grove in Anathapindika's Park in Shravasti. Then, the Venerable Great Maudgalyayana, in the morning, put on his robes, took his bowl and robes, and went to Shravasti for alms. He gradually went for alms and went to the house of Anathapindika the householder. At that time, the sons of Anathapindika the householder were reading external treatises. The Venerable Great Maudgalyayana saw the sons of Anathapindika the householder reading external treatises. Having seen this, he said to Anathapindika the householder: "Householder, what are the boys reading?" "Venerable, they are reading external treatises." "Householder, external treatises are like iron nails, difficult to understand, and even if understood, they will not lead to certainty, nor will they lead to the exhaustion of defilements. The Buddha's teachings are good in the beginning, middle, and end, leading to higher knowledge, perfect enlightenment, and nirvana. Why not read those?" "Venerable, who will let them read those?" "I will let them read." "Venerable, please let them read!" Anathapindika the householder said to those boys: "Boys, go to the Venerable One, to Jeta Grove, and read the Buddha's teachings today!" Those boys, each adorned with ornaments, surrounded by the boys who were sent, went to Jeta Grove and began to recite the Buddha's teachings to the Venerable Great Maudgalyayana. In Shravasti, there was a gang of thieves called "Little Winter Month Leftist," whose common practice was that as soon as those people were arrested, the knowledgeable ones would think: What should we do so that we can live comfortably for a year without having to search?
