Sometimes, when water is very scarce, a monk thinks, "May I become prosperous because of this, and may others become impoverished because of this." So he diverts water to irrigate his own rice field and cuts off the water supply to others. If he becomes prosperous because of this, and others become impoverished because of this, then the value of the wealth he has gained should be calculated. If the property is complete, he commits a Pārājika offense; if the property is incomplete, he commits a Thullaccaya offense. If the water is very abundant, a monk thinks, "May I become prosperous because of this, and may others become impoverished because of this." So he cuts off his own water supply and diverts water to irrigate the fields of others. If he becomes prosperous because of this, and others become impoverished because of this, then the value of the wealth he has gained should be calculated. If the property is complete, he commits a Pārājika offense; if the property is incomplete, he commits a Thullaccaya offense. If (a monk), with the intention of making others unhappy, thinks, "May it belong neither to him nor to me," and diverts water to irrigate both his own field and the field of others, he commits a Thullaccaya offense. The matter of the rice field is like this, and the matter of the sugarcane field and the salt field are also the same. There are three kinds of boats: a pot boat, a pottery boat, and a sheepskin raft. There are four kinds of goods: there are goods that are heavy and valuable, there are goods that are light and valuable, there are goods that are heavy and cheap, and there are goods that are light and cheap. What are goods that are heavy and valuable? For example, various jewels, pearls, beryl, white orpiment, coral, silver, Sālīsambhava (a type of precious stone), the essence of gems, steel, red copper, right-turning conch shells, etc. These are goods that are heavy and valuable. What are goods that are light and valuable? For example, various silks, silkworm wool, saffron, cardamom, etc. These are goods that are light and valuable. What are goods that are heavy and cheap? For example, iron, stone, chalcanthite, etc. These are goods that are heavy and cheap. What are goods that are light and cheap? For example, wool, flax, cotton, coarse woolen fabrics, etc. These are goods that are light and cheap. Among them, if goods that are heavy and valuable and goods that are light and cheap are loaded onto the same boat

From this transformation. Their ship was thus ruined and failed to reach its destination, and when the goods floated, those wise men declared, "The sunken goods are ours, and the floating goods are left to be disposed of as one pleases." When they proclaimed victory in this way, the monk rose from his seat for the sunken goods, put on his lower garment, walked, tied his clothes, entered the water, dived to the bottom, and then floated up. As long as he does not recover or search for the goods, he will commit a minor offense. Recovering and searching for the goods, but as long as he does not hide the goods from one place to another, he will commit a major offense. If he hides the goods from one place to another, it will be considered theft. The value needs to be assessed, and if the items are complete, he will be judged as defeated (Parajika offense), and if the items are incomplete, he will commit a major offense. If later he thinks that he should respect (these goods) and throws them into the mud, it will be considered theft. The value needs to be assessed, and if the items are complete, he will be judged as defeated (Parajika offense), and if the items are incomplete, he will commit a major offense. If he throws them into the mud with the thought of not wanting them to bring happiness or belong to anyone, he will commit a major offense. Furthermore, those light and valuable goods, and those heavy and cheap goods, if they are loaded on the same ship, their ship is thus ruined and fails to reach its destination, and when the goods sink, those wise men declare, "The floating goods are ours, and the sunken goods are left to be disposed of as one pleases." When they proclaimed victory in this way, the monk rose from his seat for the floating goods, put on his skirt, walked, tied his clothes, entered the water, dived to the bottom, and then floated up. As long as he does not recover or search for the goods, he will commit a minor offense. Recovering the goods but not searching, as long as he does not hide the goods from one place to another, he will commit a major offense. If he hides the goods from one place to another, it will be considered theft. The value needs to be assessed, and if the items are complete, he will be judged as defeated (Parajika offense), and if the items are incomplete, he will commit a major offense.
