Like the blooming of deer and উৎপল flowers, and the blooming of lotus flowers, and the great blooming of lotus flowers. All the heat of the hell beings becomes cool and descends upon them; all the cold hell beings become warm and descend upon them. This causes the differences in suffering of those hell beings to cease, and they think: Have I died and been reborn from here, or have I been born elsewhere? They think in this way. In order to generate their faith, the Blessed One sends forth emanations. When they see the emanations, they think: We have neither died and been reborn from here, nor have we been born elsewhere, but it is through the power of this being we saw before that the differences in our suffering have ceased. They develop great joy towards the emanations, and thus exhaust the karma that would cause them to experience the suffering of hell, and take rebirth among the gods and humans who are capable of becoming vessels of truth. Those who desire upwards will be reborn among the gods of the Four Great Kings, the Thirty-three, the Yama, the Tushita, the Nirmāṇarati, the Paranirmita-vaśavartin, the Brahma-pāriṣadya, the Brahma-purohita, the Mahābrahmā, the Parīttābha, the Apramāṇābha, the Ābhāsvara, the Parīttaśubha, the Apramāṇaśubha, the Śubhakṛtsna, the Anabhraka, the Puṇyaprasava, the Bṛhatphala, the Avṛha, the Atapa, the Sudṛśa, the Sudarśana, and the Akaniṣṭha, and proclaim the sounds of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness. At the same time, they will also proclaim these two verses: One should strive and emerge; one should enter the teachings of the Buddha; like an elephant destroying a house of reeds, one should destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever carefully practices this Dharma and discipline will completely abandon the cycle of rebirth and ultimately be liberated from suffering. Then, those rays of light penetrate the three-thousand great-thousand world system and follow after the Blessed One. If

If the Blessed One intends to prophesy past actions, then the hem of the Blessed One's robe will disappear. If he intends to prophesy future actions, then it will disappear in the front. If he intends to prophesy that beings will be born in hell, then it will disappear in the soles of the feet. If he intends to prophesy that they will be born as animals, then it will disappear in the heels. If he intends to prophesy that they will be born as hungry ghosts, then it will disappear in the big toes. If he intends to prophesy that they will be born as humans, then it will disappear in the knees. If he intends to prophesy the kingdom of a powerful wheel-turning king, then it will disappear in the left palm. If he intends to prophesy the kingdom of a wheel-turning king, then it will disappear in the right palm. If he intends to prophesy that they will be born as gods, then it will disappear in the navel. If he intends to prophesy the enlightenment of a Hearer, then it will disappear in the face. If he intends to prophesy the enlightenment of a Pratyekabuddha, then it will disappear in the urna. If he intends to prophesy the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, then it will disappear in the crown of the head. Then those rays of light circumambulated the Blessed One three times and disappeared into the Blessed One's urna. Then, the Venerable Ananda, with his palms joined, asked the Blessed One: 'Adorned with a thousand various colors, the assemblies emerged from the gate of your mouth, like an umbrella rising, illuminating all directions with it.' Again, he asked in verse: 'Free from arrogance, timidity, and pride, the Buddha is the supreme cause among beings, the Victorious One, without any means to conquer, why does he show a smile with roots as white as conch shells? Therefore, knowing the time with steadfast wisdom, the King of Victors, the Sage, is the best of beings. May those who listen hear, for the sake of the listeners, dispel doubts with steadfast words, I beseech the holy and virtuous ones to dispel them. Like the salt water and the King of Mountains, the Perfect Buddhas do not smile suddenly. Why does the Steadfast One show a smile? May most people hear this. Ananda, do you see that dancer who, with great faith, generates faith in me and then beats the great clay drum? That monk...'
