Then hundreds of thousands of people followed him. Then, he heard the sound of someone wailing and lamenting. When he saw a large crowd gathered at the city gate, he asked a person: 'Respected sir, why is this large crowd making such sorrowful cries?' That person replied: 'Wise one, do you not know? Like this, the son of the king of men, named Good Teeth, who has a steadfast character and is very fond of giving, has been banished from here. He, along with his wife and children, has set out for the edge of the forest. All the palace retinue have gathered and are crying with great sorrow.' Then, the Bodhisattva went to the palace retinue who had come out of that desolate city, and appeared to them appropriately, saying: 'Wise ones, return! Return! Like this, having been associated with suffering for a very long time, one will inevitably come to an end of separation. Associating with relatives is like a tree in a resting place on the road, and one will inevitably be separated from suffering. Why is that? Because in all the world, beings are helpless. Thinking that you will eventually be separated from friends. With all your efforts on this earth, for the sake of peace, make your wisdom unwavering and steadfast.' Then, after three hundred yojanas had passed, a Brahmin saw the Bodhisattva and came before him, saying: 'Young prince of royal lineage, I have heard of your virtues and have come here from a place about three hundred yojanas away. With this excellent chariot of yours, may you make my weariness fruitful.' Then, the almsgiving mother became impatient and spoke to the Brahmin with harsh words: 'Alas! Even in the forest, there are those who beg from the son of the king of men. This Brahmin's mind is so devoid of affection. The son of the king of men has fallen from the glory of the king of men. Should not compassion arise for him here?' The Bodhisattva said: 'You should not scold the Brahmin. Why is that? If there were no almsgivers and no one to receive wealth. Without universal giving, who could attain enlightenment on earth? Through the manner of the six perfections, such as giving, Bodhisattvas with excellent qualities attain omniscience.'

When will I obtain it? Then, the Bodhisattva, greatly delighted, gave the chariot with horses to that Brahmin and said: Brahmin, dispeller of the stain of miserliness! By this excellent chariot given here, may I turn the great wheel of the unpolluted Dharma, surrounded by great and upright sages! Then, All-Giving, greatly delighted, gave that excellent chariot to the Brahmin and carried the dark-skinned youth on his shoulder. Bountiful Giver took the young maiden with the net and set off towards the edge of the ascetic forest, gradually entering the ascetic forest. Then, All-Giving, in that ascetic grove, took up the ascetic practices that pleased his heart and dwelt there. After some time, Bountiful Giver went to the ascetic forest in search of roots and fruits, and a Brahmin came to All-Giving and said: Youth of royal lineage, may you be victorious! We have wool to use, wandering together with the cuckoo, for that purpose, these two children, you should give to me. After he said this, the Bodhisattva All-Giving hesitated slightly whether to give up the beloved children, and then that Brahmin said to the Bodhisattva All-Giving: Hey! Youth of royal lineage, I have heard that you give everything, like this I beg from you, what are you still considering? You are one who gives everything, compassionate, renowned on earth, just as you are renowned, you should always do. After he said this, the Bodhisattva All-Giving said to that Brahmin: Hey! Great Brahmin! Even giving up one's own life, I have sometimes never considered, giving up my own children, would I change my mind? Great Brahmin, although it is so, these two children that I have raised in the forest, after completely giving them up, the suffering of being separated from their mother, how will these exist? Young man, being extremely without compassion, giving up the children and saying they are not mine, some will come to mock me, Brahmin, it is better if you take me away. Then, that Brahmin said to All-Giving: Hey! Youth of royal lineage, born into the lineage of a great king.

This one is renowned for virtues everywhere, enters into loving kindness with compassion for all living beings, makes offerings, offerings, and respects, like an elephant of incense, to monks, Brahmins, and unexpected people, fulfilling the hopes in the hearts of all who are poor, destitute, helpless, and utterly miserable. If you see me, it will not be in vain; if you are tired from the road, it will not be without fruit; if you see me, it will not be meaningless; or if the desire that has been hoped for and longed for for a long time cannot be fulfilled, that is not the case. If you answer me with the word "no," the horse of hope that always gallops in my heart will quickly turn back. Therefore, you should fulfill my wish and then let me go. Why is that? Because she wears water as clothing and has an unparalleled appearance, with a full upper body with Mount Meru as her breasts. Even if you search the towns and villages, you will not find a giver as generous as you. Then, the Bodhisattva Who Saves All heard the words of the Brahmin, and because of his love for his sons, he thought in his heart: If I give these two sons to the Brahmin, the suffering that arises from the separation of me and my sons will be borne by me and the giver together. If I abandon this path, I will not only lose my practice, but this Brahmin will also lose his life, and he will leave as he came. It is better for me to bear the pain of losing my beloved son alone. Do not break the vow, and do not let the practice regress. Then, the Bodhisattva Who Saves All made up his mind that he must give up his beloved two sons, and said: Alas! I have practiced hundreds of austerities in order to save the beings of the world from the vast ocean of suffering, and to build a bridge to the other shore for those who are drowning in the bottomless abyss. After saying these words, his face, as flawless as the bright moon, was filled with tears, and he gave the two children to the Brahmin. He also said: May I obtain the vast fruit of giving this son.
