The non-virtuous deeds I have done and accumulated will ripen into the aggregates, elements, and sense bases that are grasped. Actions, even after hundreds of eons, are not wasted; when the conditions and time are right, they ripen into fruits for sentient beings. Monks, in the past, not far from Varanasi, there was a flourishing abode of flowers and fruits, where various birds sang and animals lived in harmony. There lived two ascetics who subsisted on fruits, roots, and water, and wore bark and leaves, named Conch and Script. Conch was the Khenpo (preceptor), and Script was the disciple. Their fame spread throughout all of Varanasi. King Brahma-giving also heard that in such-and-such garden, the ascetics Conch and Script, two brothers, resided, with Conch as the Khenpo and Script as the disciple. At one point, Conch filled a water pot and went into the forest to find roots and fruits. Script also arose early the next morning and went to gather flowers and fruits, then quickly returned. He checked his water pot and found that there was little water, and feeling distressed by thirst, he thought, 'I will drink the Khenpo's water.' So he drank it. When the ascetic Conch returned to the abode with roots and fruits, feeling parched, he checked the water pot and found it empty. He was greatly displeased and said, 'Who stole my water?' Script said, 'Khenpo, the thief is me. I made a mistake unintentionally; please punish me and kill me.' He said, 'You are both my brother and my disciple; if you drank it, then so be it, enjoy it as you please.' He said, 'Khenpo, I cannot erase this regret, because the sin of stealing is heavy and leaves a habitual trace; please kill me.' As he said this, the ascetic Conch became angry and said, 'I will not punish you; if you really want punishment, go to the king.' At that time, the king was setting out to hunt wild animals, and Script paid homage to the king and offered blessings, and stated in verses.

After reporting, why didn't the king give water? Because I asked for water, I became a thief. What punishment should a thief receive? Please impose the heavy burden of punishment on me. The king said: There is no reason to take water without giving it, but whose water did you steal? After he reported truthfully, the king said: You and he are both brothers and Khenpos, so it is not appropriate to punish you with punishment, go! He said: God, I cannot eliminate my regret, please execute the thief with the death penalty, please execute me. After he said this, the king was furious and said furiously: If he is a god, stay here, and you must not leave before I come back. The king went hunting, deliberately doing so, and did not come back from another door. The ministers said to the king on the sixth day: God, that immortal is in that direction, and it has been six days now, please give your order! The king said: Release him, his punishment is like this, go! The ministers said to that immortal: Immortal, the god's will is to release you, your punishment is like this, go! He left without any regrets. Monks, what do you think? The king Good Giving at that time was the current Sound Giving. At that time, he said fiercely to the immortal: Stay here, you are not allowed to leave. Due to the maturation of this karma, he stayed in the womb for six years. Monks, therefore, the maturation of black karma is also black, from "you should learn like this" to the end, it is the same as before. Vinaya-Vastu, Volume 95. The monks became suspicious, and in order to eliminate all doubts, they asked the World Honored One: Venerable Goodness, what karma did you do that matured into the king of the people? The World Honored One taught: Monks, Goodness has obtained these collections of karma, and the conditions are also

Completely translated. Abiding near like light. Having done and accumulated the deeds that will arise without consuming ghosts, who else will experience individually the deeds done and accumulated by the Sugata? Monks, the deeds done and accumulated will not mature in the external realm of earth, nor will they mature in the realm of water, nor will they mature in the realm of fire, nor will they mature in the realm of wind. Like this, the good and bad deeds done and accumulated will mature in the aggregates, realms, and sources that have been taken. Actions, even after hundreds of eons, are not wasted; when the conditions and time come together, living beings will experience their fruits. Monks, once upon a time, a heretic came from a certain region to Bārāṇasī. There, the native heretics, being of a jealous nature, beat him severely with sticks, whips, and clubs, and drove him away, so he stayed in a royal garden outside of Bārāṇasī. At that time, King Brahma-datta was in the season for pleasure gardens, and the flowering trees were blooming, and swans, mandarin ducks, peacocks, parrots, sparrows, and cuckoos were making sounds in the dense forest garden, so he went with his consorts to the garden, and there he enjoyed pleasure with his consorts and fell asleep. Women like flowers and fruits, so they started searching for flowers and fruits and wandering around. When King Brahma-datta awoke from his sleep, having dispelled his weariness, he hurriedly returned to Bārāṇasī. The women of the consorts also hurried back. At that time, another woman accidentally dropped a pearl necklace. At that time, that heretic started wandering in that garden, and he saw that pearl necklace. He thought, "What do I need this for? I think that any place that would cause harm because of this exists." Then he thought, "Who will take this?" He hung it on a branch of a tree in the garden itself and left. At that time, the consorts said to the king, "Divine one, the consort named so-and-so...
