To this, it was declared in verses: Whoever is not stained by the impurities of the world, Whose cessation of desire is impossible to bring about, That one who possesses the boundless realm of the Buddha's conduct, If there is no basis, with what basis can he be led? Whoever is not stained by the impurities of the world, Whose cessation of desire is impossible to bring about, That one who possesses the boundless power of the Buddha-father, If there is no basis, with what basis can he be led? Whoever has destroyed and has no accumulation, And has not destroyed the world, not even a little, That one who possesses the boundless realm of the Buddha's conduct, If there is no basis, with what basis can he be led? Whoever has destroyed and has no accumulation, And has not destroyed the world, not even a little, That one who possesses the boundless power of the Buddha-father, If there is no basis, with what basis can he be led? Unable to answer, he requested: World-Honored One, I will go to inform King Śuddhodana. Charka is not such a messenger of the Buddha. Charka asked: World-Honored One, what kind of person are you? Since you have already renounced, you should also renounce! World-Honored One, I have vowed to go again to inform King Śuddhodana. The World-Honored One instructed: Charka, renounce as you have vowed! Thus, when the World-Honored One was formerly a Bodhisattva, he never violated any words that were in accordance with the Dharma of those such as father, mother, Khenpo, Acharya, Lama, and the position of Lama. Charka asked: World-Honored One, if that is the case, I will renounce. Then, the World-Honored One instructed the Venerable Shariputra: Shariputra, let this Charka renounce for the sake of long-term benefit, well-being, and happiness! "Venerable, as you command," the Venerable Shariputra, having heard the words of the World-Honored One, ordained Charka and bestowed the full ordination, and then extensively explained to him all the practices that should be followed, such as: "Charka, this is what you should do, from now on you should not sleep in the same room with a woman," and so on. "Venerable, as you command," Charka bowed his head to the feet of the Venerable Shariputra and departed, going to where the World-Honored One was, and upon arriving, bowed his head to the feet of the World-Honored One.

Having prostrated, he said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, I am a messenger from the Shakya clan." The Blessed One said: "Charka, go, you should now go to Rajagriha, wait at the gate, and say, 'A Shakya monk has come.' After entering, if they say, 'Please come in,' then enter. After entering, if they say, 'Are there any other Shakya monks?', then say, 'Yes.' If they ask, 'Is the young Siddhartha also like this, and does he dress like this?', then say, 'He is like this, and he dresses like this.' You should not stay in Rajagriha. If they say, 'Does the young Siddhartha not stay in Rajagriha either?', then say, 'He does not stay.' If they ask, 'Where does he stay?', then say, 'In a temple or a monastery.' If they ask, 'What kind of monastery?', then draw a picture of Prince Jeta's garden and show it to them. If they ask, 'Has the young Siddhartha come?', then say, 'He has come.' If they ask, 'How long has he been here?', then say, 'It has been seven days.'" He reported: "Blessed One, I am going." The Blessed One said: "Go! Land lords by words, The gods by thought will accomplish, Likewise, meditators, By generating the mind, all will be accomplished." How the Blessed One blessed Charka, so that he immediately reached the city of the Shakya clan, and the long-lived Charka, having generated the first unbearable thought towards the Blessed One, left the gate of Rajagriha and said: "Wise ones, please inform the king that a Shakya monk has come." They said: "Are there any other Shakya monks coming?" Wise ones, yes. They reported to the king: "A Shakya monk has come." The king said: "Let him in." After he entered, King Suddhodana saw him and said: "Charka, have you renounced the world?" He said: "O God, I have renounced the world." Didn't you say you would return? What is this? Charka said: "O God, the Blessed One is the messenger of the Buddha."
