It was obtained. The deaf heard with their ears. The mute were able to speak. Those with incomplete faculties obtained all complete faculties. Those intoxicated with alcohol were freed from intoxication. Those who had taken poison had their poison subside. Those who had mutual enmity became purified. Pregnant women gave birth safely. Those imprisoned were freed from imprisonment. Those without wealth found wealth. Those and other hundreds of thousands of wonders occurred when the Blessed One went to the city. Then, the Blessed One went to Shravasti with such great reverence. Having arrived, he sat down on the seat that had been prepared in the midst of the community of monks. Then, the householder Anathapindika, surrounded by friends, relatives, and kin, took a golden auspicious vase and began to pour a stream of water. Since it could not be poured out, the householder Anathapindika was displeased and thought: "Have I done some small thing that is accompanied by bad deeds?" The Blessed One said: "Householder, you have not done any small thing that is accompanied by bad deeds. However, you have been sitting in this direction, for the Buddhas of the past who were perfectly and completely enlightened also offered this very direction, so sit in another direction and pour." When he sat in another direction and poured, the Blessed One himself proclaimed Jetavana with a voice endowed with five qualities. When Jetavana was proclaimed, the youth Jetavana thought: "Alas, how wonderful it would be if the Blessed One would mention my name there first." The Blessed One, knowing the mind of the youth Jetavana, said to the monks: "Monks, this is the Jetavana of Prince Jetavana, the grove of Anathapindika." There, his name was mentioned first. The youth Jetavana, having heard that the Blessed One had mentioned my name first today, became very happy, and with the joy and satisfaction that arose, he offered a gatehouse of four kinds of jewels from his wealth to the Blessed One.

That's how it was done. Similarly, the elders who compiled the scriptures also established in the sutras that the Blessed One was dwelling in the Jeta Grove of Prince Jeta, in the Garden of Anathapindika, the almsgiver. King Prasenajit of Kosala, after the mendicant Gautama passed away while wandering in Kosala, came to Shravasti. He was staying in Shravasti in the Jeta Grove of Prince Jeta, in the Garden of Anathapindika, the almsgiver. He heard that the wise Gautama had manifested unexcelled, perfect enlightenment, and personally promised it. Having heard this, he went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, he engaged in various kinds of joyful and delightful talk with the Blessed One, and then sat down to one side. Having sat down to one side, King Prasenajit of Kosala said this to the Blessed One: O Gautama, I have heard that the wise Gautama has manifested unexcelled, perfect enlightenment, and personally promised it. O Gautama, those who proclaim this, are they not slandering the mendicant Gautama? Are they not speaking rashly? Are they not speaking as the wise Gautama has said? Are they not speaking the Dharma? Are they not proclaiming the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma? If someone were to debate with them in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma, would they not fall into a state of being blamed? Great King, those who speak in this way, proclaiming the truth in this way, are not slandering, are not speaking rashly, but are speaking truthfully, are speaking the Dharma, are proclaiming the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma. If someone were to debate with them in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma, they would not fall into a state of being blamed. Great King, that is because I have manifested unexcelled, perfect enlightenment. Although the wise Gautama speaks in this way, I do not believe the wise Gautama. That is because, O Gautama, for now, the elderly and aged mendicants and Brahmins are these, such as

That is, the one with complete light, the son of the wandering black hair, the son of the daughter of speech desire, the one with excellent victory, the one with the undefeated hair knot, the son of Katyayana, the naked one, the son of a relative, those people still do not regard themselves with arrogance, they have realized the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. How much more so with the wise Gautama, who was born not long ago and recently ordained, what more needs to be said? Great King, these four youths should not be despised, should not be suppressed. What are the four? Great King, the youth of the Kshatriya caste should not be despised, the youth should not be suppressed. Great King, the young snake should not be despised, the young snake should not be suppressed. Great King, the small fire should not be despised, the small fire should not be suppressed. Great King, the young Bhikshu should not be despised, the young Bhikshu should not be suppressed. Why is that? Because even if a Bhikshu is young, he can become an Arhat with great magical powers and great power. The Blessed One said so. The Tathagata said so. The Teacher also said the following words: The Kshatriya caste has excellent signs, The caste is noble and has fame, The wise person sees that he is young, He should not be despised or suppressed. The wise king of the Kshatriya caste, After obtaining the kingdom and political power, There are places to punish with penalties, Therefore, they are very afraid. Therefore, protect your own life, View it with your own interests, You should not despise them, You should also protect them well. If in a town or temple, Wherever a snake is seen, The wise person sees that he is young, He should not be despised or suppressed. As the snake walks around, The types and shapes are different, If the young snake gets a chance, It can also capture men and women. Therefore, protect your own life, View it with your own interests, You should not despise them, You should also protect them well. It burns many and can devour, The black path burns and eats fire, The wise person sees that it is small,
