O endowed one, not denigrating the noble ones is right view. Knowing that, due to the deed of right view and the lineage of having taken up the Dharma, that cause and that condition will cause one to be born among the gods of the world of bliss and high heavens after the body is destroyed. Monks, since I know and see in this way, I do not say, "Is it I? Is it a sentient being? Is it life? Is it a birth-giver? Is it a nourisher? Is it a person? Is it born from power? Is it a child of power? Is it a doer? Is it a causer to do? Is it a knower? Is it an all-knower? Is it a beggar? Is it an all-beggar? Is it a speaker? Is it a feeler?" Whatever is an all-feeler has never occurred, will never occur, and is not even real, so whoever does good and bad deeds here and there will individually experience the ripening of those deeds, and whoever abandons this aggregate and connects with another aggregate, apart from what is designated as Dharma, will not say, "This is it." Moreover, the designation of Dharma is this: This exists because that exists; this arises because that arises. That is, due to ignorance as a condition, there is formation; due to formation as a condition, there is consciousness; due to consciousness as a condition, there is name and form; due to name and form as a condition, there are the six sense sources; due to the six sense sources as a condition, there is contact; due to contact as a condition, there is feeling; due to feeling as a condition, there is craving; due to craving as a condition, there is grasping; due to grasping as a condition, there is becoming; due to becoming as a condition, there is birth; due to birth as a condition, there arise aging and death, sorrow, lamentation, displeasure, and agitation. Thus, this great mass of suffering alone will arise. This is because this does not exist, that does not exist; because this ceases, that will cease. That is, because ignorance ceases, formation ceases; because formation ceases, consciousness ceases; because consciousness ceases, name and form cease; because name and form cease, the six sense sources cease; because the six sense sources cease, contact ceases; because contact ceases, feeling ceases; because feeling ceases, craving ceases; because craving ceases, grasping ceases; because grasping ceases, becoming ceases; because becoming ceases, birth ceases; birth
