In Lhasa We (place name) there lived a wealthy and rich householder, enjoying vast and boundless possessions, possessing the wealth of Vaishravana, his wealth rivaling that of Vaishravana. His garden was abundant with flowers, abundant with fruits, abundant with water, and various birds sang, making the garden seem like a joyful paradise. The king often came there with his queen and retinue, indulging in joyful games. Lumbini, seeing this, felt desire and said: O god, please grant me this garden. The king said: This garden belongs to the householder, how can I give it away? If you want a garden, I will build you another one that is even better. Then, King Suddhodana had a garden built for Lumbini that was even more extraordinary, and it was named Lumbini Garden. King Simhahanu had long had the thought: Alas, if a Chakravartin were to be born in my lineage, how wonderful it would be. Others say, 'This is not a daughter. What is it then? It is an illusion manifested by various karmas.' Therefore, let us name the daughter 'Illusion.'" So they named her "Illusion." After entrusting the daughter Illusion to eight mothers, from "..." to "grew up," it was as before. The diviners prophesied, "She will give birth to a son with many perfect marks, and he will become a powerful Chakravartin king." Again, she played, rejoiced, and enjoyed herself, and then gave birth to a daughter who was beautiful, pleasing to the eye, lovely, with a good complexion, radiant, and supremely excellent. When she was born, all those cities were illuminated by a great light. Just like an illusion, her beautiful form could not be fully examined in every way. A grand birth celebration was held for her, and they discussed what to name the daughter. The ministers said, "Because she was born from Illusion and is especially beautiful, let us call her 'Great Illusion.'" So they named her "Great Illusion." She was also raised and grew up, and the diviners prophesied about her, "She will give birth to a son endowed with the thirty-two major marks of a great man, and he will become a Chakravartin king." King Lekpar Rabse sent a messenger to King Lion's side, saying, "I have given birth to two daughters, named Illusion and Great Illusion. It has been prophesied that one of them will give birth to a son with all perfect marks, and he will become a powerful Chakravartin king. The other will be prophesied to give birth to a son adorned with the thirty-two major marks of a great man.

The other one should also be observed. He escorted her with five hundred attendants. At that time, there was an opponent of the Śākyas named Skya Bseng, who was a hermit. The Śākyas gathered together and went to King Simhahānu, requesting, "O god, the hermit Skya Baseng is harming us, please help us." He said, "Wise ones, I am old and cannot fight with them. Please send the young Śuddhodana." Make a vow: if you can find an ideal person like the young man, then let him go. They said, "O god, we will do as you command." The king entrusted the fourfold army to the young Śuddhodana. He destroyed those hermits, utterly destroyed them, and uprooted them. Then, the Śākyas were pleased and went to King Simhahānu, saying, "O god, the young man has destroyed those hermits, utterly destroyed them, and uprooted them, so we are very happy, please tell the young man what you want." Wise ones, the law of the Śākyas stipulates that no one should take more than one wife of equal status. He said, "O god, are you going to repeal the law?" He said, "I will not specifically repeal it, but letting the young man take an ideal wife is not taking more than one wife of equal status." O god, please do so. Then, Simhahānu sent a messenger to Legpar Rab Sad, saying, "I have already observed, so escort the other daughter as well." He also escorted her with five hundred attendants, and the young Śuddhodana took both of them. After some time, King Simhahānu died, and King Śuddhodana began to rule in Kapilavastu, Prosperity and affluence.
