Thus the storehouses and treasuries were opened. The king said: When all the worlds have died, does that householder open the storehouses and treasuries? Wise ones, bring that householder here. After they brought him, the king said: Householder, when all the worlds have died, do you open the storehouses and treasuries? Open the storehouses and treasuries of the gods. However, the fruit of the seed sown only for a long time ripens immediately. The king said: How is that? He spoke in detail about the situation at that time, and the king said: Householder, did you offer alms to that great being? The god offered it. Therefore, he became even more devout and said in verse: Alas, from merit arising, a field that completely eliminates all faults, the seed sown on it, its fruit is immediately obtained. Monks, what do you think? The householder, the householder's wife, the householder's son, the householder's daughter-in-law, the householder's male servant, the householder's female servant, they are the householder's sheep, the sheep's wife, the sheep's son, the sheep's daughter-in-law, the sheep's male servant, the sheep's female servant. These people did service to the Pratyekabuddha and prayed, and due to the maturation of that karma, all six became very fortunate and saw the truth before me. Hundreds of thousands of Pratyekabuddhas pleased me, the most excellent teacher, and not displeased. Monks, therefore, the maturation of evil deeds is evil, and the maturation of good deeds is good, so seek from there. Monks, you should train in that way, until the end, as before. Summary: The son of Kena received the offering, met from the commercial stone heap of Kashi, prepared food with the sinner, and food associated with regret. The Blessed One resided in the place of Aduma. At that time, the upright son of Kena resided in the place of Aduma. During the day, he resided by the side of a slowly flowing pond. The Blessed One

After contemplating, I thought that if I preached the Dharma to the Four Great Kings, I could subdue the son of the sage Kana with very little effort. Then, the Blessed One thought to himself: If I preach by the side of the quietly flowing pond, I will be able to subdue him. Then, the Blessed One generated the worldly thought, and according to the Dharma, whenever the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, generate the worldly thought, the gods such as Indra and Brahma will know the Blessed One's thoughts with their minds, so the great King Vaishravana's son thought: Why did the Blessed One generate the worldly thought? After observing, he realized that the Blessed One intended to preach the Dharma only to us Four Great Kings. So, he commanded the Yaksha general Leda, and Leda immediately went to the side of the quietly flowing pond, prepared a seat for the Blessed One, and arranged a guardian for the son of the sage Kana, so that when the great assembly gathered, no one could take away his splendor. He then arranged a guardian for the son of the sage Kana by the side of the quietly flowing pond and began to prepare the site, when a great noise of a crowd of people arose. Then, the son of the sage Kana was awakened by the noise and asked the guardian: What is this noise? The guardian said: They are preparing a seat. Is it for me? Not for you, but for the Buddha, the Blessed One. What are you doing here? I am only guarding you. Why will so many beings gather? The guardian said: Who will guard the Shramana Gautama? He said: Who will guard the Blessed One? The Blessed One himself is the guardian of the world, gods, and everything. The son of the sage Kana heard this and said nothing. Then, the Blessed One, in the early morning, put on his robes, took his bowl and Dharma robes, and went to Atuma for alms. After begging for alms in Atuma, he finished his meal, abandoned the afternoon alms, and remained in meditation as usual, together with the Sangha of monks.
