O Subhuti! Proclaiming the deeds practiced from previous lives: The stainless, immaculate, liberating mind, The faultless mind abiding without afflictions. Having believed that they possess the supreme Dharma, With mind aspiring to their Dharma, I offered a small handful of coarse bran as alms To the solitary Buddha, Wishing to always encounter such beings. Due to that aspiration, I was born with an unpleasant voice, Which was the sole result of that karma. A sentient being, selfless and long-lived, With excellent conduct and not inferior, Was born with an unpleasant voice a thousand times. That was the sole result of that karma. Born one thousand thirty-three times, Possessing garlands of flowers, various perfumes, And a powerful, beautiful body. From there, upon death, I was born with an unpleasant voice, And again made the gods rejoice, Due to the power of my mind's aspiration, I was again Born among the pure humans. That was the sole result of that karma, I Was born into the great Brahmin Sala lineage, With abundant wealth, revered by women, Although I did not seek the pleasures of the five senses, I did not see the Teacher even a few times. Having not seen the incomparable Hearers, In the world, wearing bright saffron robes, I prostrated to the Arhats and went forth. After I went forth in that way, I saw the victorious Buddha's sons residing in a stupa, Prostrated to the feet of the Able One, and requested the Blessed One to be my Teacher, Requesting that I become your Hearer. Subhuti acted as he had spoken, You are my Teacher, and I am your Hearer. If you wish to be liberated from all suffering, Listen attentively to the sweet Dharma that you preach. Whatever excellent being protects me, Preaching the Dharma with great compassion, The four concentrations, powers, faculties, and the limbs of enlightenment, The limbs of the path, and liberation. I attained joy and delight by meditating on them, Having exhausted the defilements and taken the last body. Holding the last body, without dust, These upright ones met with me. The Thus-Gone Victor, perfectly endowed, speaks, One who possesses discipline will accomplish whatever they desire, Whatever I thought and imagined in my mind, Everything was accomplished, this is the end of existence, My birth.

烦恼已尽且束缚已断，从一切有中生起之念已断绝。我乃是法王心中所生之子，烦恼诸众已尽故入于寂灭。我以一切见者之身份，已将修习之住处视为最胜。无漏且已消除罪过，我已获得不动摇之地位。如是之持戒者光护，在玛扎巴大湖边，比丘僧团面前安坐，亲口宣说了自己的业。光护品第一。 律藏根本，第五十二卷。此后，诸位持戒比丘对具寿舍利子如是说道：具寿舍利子，做了何种业，以该业之果报，而具有大智慧与大无畏？他答道：我曾在寂静处，见到一位独觉佛，一位正直的苦行者，一位寂静的修行者，一位有福之人，穿着陈旧的法衣。我对那位生起了信心，于是我跑过去，将那法衣缝补翻新，并且一次又一次地为他服务。之后，因为他对我的慈爱，他升到了空中，以自己的光辉照耀着，然后升向了天空。我合掌祈愿：愿我如何才能变得如此，愿我拥有敏锐的智慧和广大的知识。我发愿不生于富裕之家，也不生于卑贱之家，愿我生于中等之家，并且常常能够出家。凭借着那善根，我，我即使在一百个世代中，也获得了人的身份，并且出家。我最后的转生，就是这获得人身的有，我已经取悦了圆满正等觉无上之导师。在释迦狮子的教法中，我出家之后，获得了寂灭清凉的阿罗汉果位。诸位僧人，我以半月的时间，获得了到达彼岸的成就。比丘僧团共聚一处，导师当众宣称我为，随转法轮者，智慧者的首领。大智慧者舍利子，比丘僧团面前安坐，在玛扎巴大湖边，自己的业

Having exhausted afflictions and severed bonds, having cut off the very arising from all existences. I am the son born from the heart of the Dharma King, having exhausted the hosts of afflictions, I pass into Nirvana. I, as the one who sees all, have shown the abode of practice to be supreme. Without outflows and having removed faults, I have attained an unshakeable position. Such was the Elder Kashyapa, in the great lake of Anavatapta, sitting before the Sangha of monks, he prophesied his own deeds. The chapter of Kashyapa is the first. Vinaya Basis, Volume Fifty-two. Then the monks, the elders, said to the venerable Shariputra: "Venerable Shariputra, what deed did you do that, as a result of that deed, you became endowed with great wisdom and great confidence?" He said: "In a solitary place, I saw a Pratyekabuddha, a righteous ascetic, a peaceful renunciate, a fortunate one, wearing old Dharma robes. I developed faith in him, so I ran and sewed and turned over the Dharma robes, and served him again and again. Then, out of love for me, he rose into the sky, blazing with his own glory, and then ascended into the sky. I folded my palms and prayed: 'How may I become like this, may I have sharp intelligence and great wisdom.' I prayed that I would not be born into a rich family or into a lowly family, may I be born into a middle-class family, and may I always have many renunciations. By that root of virtue, I, even in a hundred lifetimes, having obtained the attainment of a human being, renounced the household life. My last birth is this attainment of human existence, I have pleased this perfect Buddha, the unsurpassed guide. In the teachings of Shakya Simha, having obtained renunciation, I also attained the Arhat state of cool Nirvana. Monks, I attained the perfection of going to the other shore in half a month. The Sangha of monks gathered together, and the Teacher declared me in person to be the one who turns the wheel of Dharma, the chief of the wise. The great wise Shariputra, sitting before the Sangha of monks, by the great lake of Anavatapta, his own deeds.

我宣说了。舍利子品第二。（结束） 之后，诸位具寿长老比丘对具寿大目犍连子说了这样的话：具寿大目犍连子，具寿舍利子已经宣说了自己的业的果报，现在你也宣说自己的业的果报吧。说了这话之后，具寿大目犍连子对诸位具寿长老比丘说了这样的话：我以前做仙人的时候，住在森林边上的寺庙里，那时有一个人来到那里，向我请求出家。我跑过去，剃了他的头发，然后把袈裟改变颜色给了他。当他的心清净的时候，他走到一个方向，结跏趺坐，证悟了自菩提，然后升到空中。我生起了信心，走到他跟前，然后合掌，在那里祈请神通，做了这样的祈愿：希望这位大仙人是什么样的，我的神通也变成那样。凭借那个善根，无论我生在何处，都变成因行善而美丽的，天和人。我的最后一生，就是获得人身这一生，我令圆满正等觉无上导师欢喜。在释迦狮子的教法中，我获得出家，获得了寂灭清凉的阿罗汉果位。我被一切见者宣称为神通者中的第一。做了微小的善事，体验到许多安乐。我将讲述不善之业，请听我说。在王舍城，我曾经是一个商人家的孩子，在房子外面玩耍，为了食物也进去过。在那里，我看见父母两人在隐蔽的地方坐着。看到他们两个，我殴打他们，因为羞愧也责骂他们。对于父母两人，我用心造了恶业，当长大之后，我想像砍断芦苇一样杀死他们。我用心造了恶业，身体没有做。

I have declared it. The second chapter, the chapter on Shariputra. (End) Then, the venerable elder monks said to the venerable great Maudgalyayana: Venerable great Maudgalyayana, the venerable Shariputra has already declared the result of his karma, now you also declare the result of your karma. After saying this, the venerable great Maudgalyayana said to the venerable elder monks: When I was a hermit in the past, living in a monastery at the edge of the forest, a man came there and asked me to ordain him. I ran over, shaved his head, and then changed the color of the robes and gave them to him. When his mind was purified, he went to one direction, sat in the lotus position, realized self-enlightenment, and then ascended into the sky. I generated faith, went to him, and then folded my palms, and there I prayed for magical powers, and made this wish: May this great hermit be like what, may my magical powers also become like that. By that virtue, wherever I am born, I become beautiful because of doing good deeds, gods and humans. My last life is this life of obtaining a human body, I made the perfect and unsurpassed teacher happy. In the teachings of Shakya Lion, I obtained ordination, and obtained the cool Arhat state of Nirvana. I am declared by all seers as the first among those with magical powers. Having done small good deeds, I experience much happiness. I will tell you about the non-virtuous deeds, please listen to me. In the excellent city of Rajagriha, I was once the child of a merchant, playing outside the house, and also went in for food. There, I saw both parents sitting in a secluded place. Seeing them both, I beat them, and also scolded them out of shame. Towards both parents, I committed evil deeds with my mind, and when I grew up, I thought of killing them like cutting reeds. I committed evil deeds with my mind, but not with my body.
