Protect. Wealth is vast and power is great. Assemblies of people make offerings. Having gone to the virtuous one, having touched the feet with my head, I sat to one side and spoke these words. Teacher, listen to my words. In order to see the king Brahma-datta again, I have a small vow. 1 Brahmin, you should grant it. Go to the city of Varanasi. You will not become false, fulfill your vow. Grant it, you go, do as I say. Go from here and make the king Brahma-datta generate faith. The virtuous one granted me, circumambulated the ascetic, and gradually went to the city of Varanasi. Just as I have arrived there, Brahma-datta himself heard and, with the great wealth of the king, came near to me. Having descended from the chariot, having bowed to my two feet, he sat to one side. In order to transcend all desires, the Dharma was taught to him. Having heard, the king was delighted and no longer sought desires. With a vast mind and a joyful heart, Brahma-datta spoke these words. I do not seek desires, I also will renounce. King, please go to the solitary forest. Please approach the Brahmin ascetic, the virtuous one. The king placed his eldest son, Fearless, on the throne, and the great king, having abandoned the kingdom, also renounced without a home. Family members and great ministers, and all the city dwellers, surrounded by relatives, appeared for the sake of renunciation. Having gone to the virtuous one, having bowed with his head, the king, with folded hands, requested to renounce. Thousands upon thousands of people all renounced, having shaved their hair and beards, they wore monastic robes. The virtuous one was very focused, in order to be reborn in the Brahma world, he taught the Dharma of the four Brahma abodes to everyone. Loving with reverence

By whatever deeds were done before, Please prophesy my own karma. Having heard the voice of the Victorious One, Whatever deeds I have done in the past, Whatever memories of my own karma, That I beseech before the Sage. The Lord of the World, the Protector, The stupa of the Buddha, the Lotus Guru, Abiding in a dense grove, Is frequented by deer and venomous creatures. To prostrate to that stupa, There are few who succeed. Those people do not fully understand Merit and sin. I went and cleared away The trees and grasses, And taking up the pure brooms, Then swept everything. Having circumambulated eight times and prostrated, I made offerings and then returned. By that root of virtue, When I was born among the gods, All desires were fulfilled, And I rejoiced in the thirty-three realms. The kingdom of the gods in the heavenly realm, I held for thirty-six periods. There my abode exists, The golden light is exceedingly clear. In width, thirty-six leagues, The circumference is sixty leagues in all. Having swept that stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders also occurred. Among humans, I became a human lord, Up to seven times. Having swept that stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders also occurred. The splendor of my body Became like the color of gold. Having swept that stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders also occurred. As a Brahmin and a Kshatriya, I was born into two castes. Having swept the stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders occurred to me. Carriages and a thousand elephants, And all the excellent mounts I possessed. Having swept the stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders occurred to me. Before me, trees and Thorns and pebbles cleared themselves. Having swept that stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders also occurred. Not even for a moment do I Remember desiring to dance for anyone. Having swept the stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders occurred to me. Wherever I went, Everywhere was auspicious and perfect. Having swept that stupa of the Victorious One, Other wonders also occurred. Always honored and offered to, It was like the conduct of the gods. Having swept the stupa of the Protector
