于是前往国王梵施所在的地方，到达后，他跪拜国王梵施的双足。当时，他以偈颂说道： “人王啊，我既非哑巴， 愚笨无知也不在话下。 我将以清晰明了的 言辞来表达我的心声。 人王啊，我既非哑巴， 愚笨无知也不在话下。 我的诸根皆完好无损， 且具备清晰明辨的能力。” 国王说：“孩子，你为何不说话，也不用脚行走？为了神灵的缘故，活下去吧！我忆起了前世的经历，在六十年的时间里，我作为人类中的王族后裔，担任了摄政王的职务。在六万年的时间里，我在地狱中遭受了难以忍受的苦难。忆起地狱那难以忍受的剧烈痛苦和恐怖景象，我甚至不愿再踏入地狱。因此，我对王位毫无兴趣。请您恩准我出家吧，现在我就要出家。” 国王说：“孩子，那些修行者所做的任何苦行，以及供养和火供，一切都是为了获得王位。你为何舍弃这唾手可得的王位而出家呢？” 于是，那位哑巴青年当时以偈颂说道： “我不想享用那 如同金婆罗果般的欲望。 我要奉行那 如同甘露果味般的梵行。” 国王说：“孩子，你所体验到的所有快乐都来自于王位，你为何舍弃王位的快乐而出家呢？” 那位哑巴青年当时以偈颂说道： “从中产生痛苦的 快乐，我不认为是快乐。 从中产生快乐的 痛苦，我不认为是痛苦。 请您恩准我吧，父亲。 我要前往苦行林。” 国王说：“孩子，暂时先在装饰华丽的宫殿里，睡在用檀香、香粉装饰，铺满鲜花，铺设柔软床褥和精美床罩的床上，在那里没有任何恐惧。让美妙的音乐声将你唤醒，穿上柔软的衣裳，吃美味的食物，饮用甘甜的饮品。”

Then he went to where King Brahma-dana was, and when he arrived, he prostrated himself at the feet of King Brahma-dana. At that time, he spoke in verse: "O King, I am not a mute, Nor am I foolish and ignorant. I shall make it clear With words that are clear. O King, I am not a mute, Nor am I foolish and ignorant. My senses are all complete, And I possess clear discernment." The king said, "Child, why do you not speak and not walk with your feet? Live for the sake of the gods! I remember my past lives. For sixty years, I served as regent among the human race. For sixty thousand years, I ripened unbearably in hell. Remembering the unbearable suffering and terrifying horrors of hell, I do not wish to go to hell again. Therefore, I have no desire for kingship. Please grant me permission, father, and now I shall renounce." The king said, "Child, whatever asceticism the hermits practice, and whatever offerings and fire sacrifices they make, all of that is for the sake of kingship. Why do you renounce, abandoning the kingship that has come into your palm?" Then, the mute youth spoke in verse at that time: "I do not wish to indulge in desires That are like Kimpa fruits. I shall practice the pure conduct That is like the taste of nectar fruits." The king said, "Child, all the happiness that you experience is from kingship. Why do you renounce, abandoning the happiness of kingship?" The mute youth spoke in verse at that time: "That happiness from which suffering arises, I do not think of as happiness. That suffering from which happiness arises, I do not think of as suffering. Please grant me permission, father. I shall go to the ascetic forest." The king said, "Child, for now, lie in the palace, on a soft bed adorned with sandalwood incense and powders, strewn with various flowers, and covered with fine blankets, where there is no fear from anywhere. Be awakened by the sweet sound of music. Wear soft clothes, eat delicious food, and drink sweet drinks."
