Ah. It is to serve those whose senses are weakened. Then, a youth named Green Grass, abandoning life at home like discarding saliva and ashes, lived in the forest to be a companion to his parents. Every morning, he would rise early and attend to his parents with toothpicks and clean water. After that, he would perform fire sacrifices to the gods, and then enter the forest for fruits and roots. Then, he would bring fruits, roots, and cool water to his parents, and after that, he would go to one direction and diligently meditate, spending his time in this way. Once, on another morning, he rose early, bowed to his parents' feet, and reported, also observing what appeared in his dreams, saying: 'My nightmare, a black snake, has devoured my body, and I am bound by a black rope, being led to the south. I dreamed of a terrible nightmare, and my heart is filled with fear. I fear that an unbearable separation from the guru will occur.' As the two parents sighed, sat facing the sun, prayed with truthful words, and took a water pot to fetch water. At that time, King Brahmadatta set out to hunt deer and entered the forest of asceticism. The king was struck by a sound, and hearing a sound like a deer, he drew his bow and shot an arrow, hitting Green Grass in the heart. Then, struck in a vital spot by the arrow, he fell to the ground, but he endured his own pain, grieving only for his parents, saying: 'One arrow has struck me, and my parents, who have weakened senses, and thus three lives of us are killed.' Then, the king, hearing these words, came and asked: 'Why has one arrow of mine killed three lives?' Then, Green Grass, in a voice of compassion, said to the king: 'My very weak parents have also become blind. I too have been struck by an arrow, so three lives will die.' Then, the king, feeling fear and dread, hating himself, said these words to Green Grass: 'Son of a Brahmin, I have made a mistake, shooting an arrow without knowing. Do not curse me.'

It is the way to pray to parents instead of sending them into the palace. Then, Ljang-gu respectfully makes the king breathe. Great King, if those close to me have power, then please be compassionate, have love for beings, and look to the afterlife, do not be intimidated by curses. Again, he said: Where is my lama? This water pot is for storing. The foot washing of those, will eventually become like this. My words are, serve the feet with your hands, do not delay too long, and in the end, you will surely be freed from being devoured by demons. After that, the king himself took the water pot and went into the forest. At that time, non-humans (referring to the eight classes of gods and dragons, etc.) clashed on a large scale in the four directions. Then, the two blind men said to each other: Ljang-gu has grown up by the lake. Then, his mother said: Now my Ljang-gu, in the lake full of lotuses and utpala flowers, when the swans make beautiful sounds, plays with the deer. After that, the king went before them. Then, from the sound, those hermits said: Ljang-gu, who is lovely and pleasing to the eye, why do you enter? Parents are weak and hungry, why do you torment the poor? He was displeased and said in a sorrowful voice: I am not Ljang-gu, I am King Tsang-sbyin (善施). Welcome, are you well? Please sit on this cushion. Ljang-gu's water and fruits, take some and bring them here. The human king is called Ljang-gu, possessing all virtues, naturally loving. By the power of his love, deer and birds dwell here. After that, the king touched the hermits' feet, weeping and speaking in a trembling voice: Ljang-gu is in this forest, his heart pierced by an arrow, and only a little life remains. This water pot filled with water was entrusted to me by him, use it to wash your feet. When the two of them heard this, they fainted and fell to the ground. After that, King Tsang-sbyin sprinkled water and woke them up. The two of them cried out in sorrowful voices, lamenting: The great king is dead, and we are about to die too. That's how it is.
