Therefore, then, the householder had wealth, and the two of them 02A enjoyed happiness together, so she became pregnant. From the very day that the sentient being entered, all the wealth and all the affairs of the householder's wealth were completely fulfilled. After eight or nine months had passed, a boy was born who was handsome, beautiful, pleasing to look at, with a complexion like gold, a head like an umbrella, long arms, wide finger spacing, curved eyebrows, a high nose, and endowed with all limbs and features. After he was born, all the needs and all the affairs of the householder's wealth were even more completely fulfilled. On the twenty-first day after his birth, a grand birth celebration was held, and they began to name him, from "to be named..." to "to be named Gangpo," and his name was named Gangpo, just as before. The boy Gangpo was entrusted to eight nurses, from "two nurses responsible for cleaning..." onwards, describing in detail, until "he grows quickly like a lotus in a pond." When he grew up, he approached and became proficient in letters, arithmetic, numbers, manual calculation, extraction, insertion, and placement, and the eight examinations: land examination, cloth examination, jewel examination, wood examination, elephant examination, horse examination, young man examination, and young woman examination, and he was skilled in other examinations, proficient in reading, and his conduct was clear. Then, the sons of the householder's wealth, including the acquisition of wealth and so on, successively established families, and they were overly attached to their wives, forgetting their livelihoods, indulging in pleasure and play. Then, the householder's wealth, with his cheek resting on his hand, was immersed in thought, and the sons 02B saw this and asked, "Father, why are you sitting with your cheek resting on your hand, immersed in thought?" He replied, "Children, I will not establish a family until I find the golden vase. You have forgotten your livelihoods, are overly attached to your wives, and indulge in pleasure and play, and after I die, the house will be filled with sorrow.
