Having made the request, the Uposatha should be performed, and the Pratimoksha Sutra should be recited. The former monks, due to the proximity of discord, will commit a serious offense. For example, in the Uposatha on the fifteenth day, if four or more suddenly arrived monks gather and are in harmony, they think like this: If there are monks who have not arrived, then without those monks who have not arrived, should we make the request and perform the Uposatha, and should we recite the Pratimoksha Sutra? Thinking, those who seek meaning with discrimination, those who possess the tools of discrimination, having made the request, perform the Uposatha and recite the Pratimoksha Sutra. After that, if more abiding monks arrive, they should also make the request and perform the Uposatha, and should recite the Pratimoksha Sutra.
