Then he went and said, "I wish to serve the wise ones." Why? In order to seize the scepter of the world. They said, "We do not show the scepter of the world to householders." He said, "If that is so, I will become a renunciate." After they ordained him, he said, "Until I seize the scepter of the world, I will not cut my nails." So he kept his nails long, and because his nails became longer and longer, his name became Wandering Long Nails, Wandering Long Nails. When Sharika was gambling with the Brahmin Star King, the Star King won him. The Brahmin Star King played with Sharika, rejoiced, and enjoyed himself. A sentient being seeking the last existence, grasping the essence of liberation, tending towards Nirvana, turning away from Samsara, not seeking death and birth in all existences, holding the last body, also died from a good heavenly realm and entered Sharika's womb. Sharika dreamed that a man with a lamp in his hand Entered my womb, and I climbed to the top of a great mountain. I was flying in the sky. Many ordinary people prostrated to me." After dreaming, she said to the Brahmin Star King, "I had such and such a dream." Although the Brahmin Star King himself was skilled in dream interpretation, he said to other Brahmins who interpreted dreams, "My Brahmin wife had such and such a dream, what does it portend?" They said, "Master, that dream is good. To dream that a man with a lamp in his hand entered my womb means that she will give birth to a son, who will read the Hetuvidya at the age of sixteen and defeat all the debaters. To dream that I climbed to the top of a great mountain, I was flying in the sky, and many ordinary people prostrated to me, means that he will become a renunciate and become a great ascetic achiever."

Thus it is. At another time, when the Brahmin Star King was gambling with Sharika, Sharika won against him. He thought: "Before, I won against him, but now what is the way he wins against me?" He thought: "This is not his power, but because a sentient being has entered his womb, that is its power." After eight or nine months had passed, a boy was born, handsome in form, pleasing to look at, beautiful, bright, like the color of gold, with a head like an umbrella, long arms, wide veins, curved eyebrows, and a high nose. After being born, he said to the Brahmin Star King: "If this Brahmin boy is offered to the grandfather, he will give this child a name." He led the child to the grandfather, and he thought: "What name should I give this child?" Because this Brahmin boy is the son of the Brahmin Star King, let's name this Brahmin boy 'Nye Gyal' (Near King). So, he named him Nye Gyal. The Brahmin Star King said: "What name did the grandfather give this Brahmin boy? He named him Nye Gyal." He thought: "The grandfather gave this Brahmin boy a name derived from the father, I will give him a name derived from the mother." Because this Brahmin boy is the son of the mother Sharika, let's name this child 'Sharibu' (Son of Shari). So, he named him Sharibu. Some knew this Brahmin boy as Sharibu. Some knew this Brahmin boy as Nye Gyal. The Brahmin boy Nye Gyal was entrusted to eight mothers: two mothers who nursed him in their laps, two mothers who gave him milk, two mothers who wiped away dirt, and two mothers who were playmates. Those eight mothers nourished him with milk, yogurt, butter, ghee, cream essence, and other various kinds of food. They raised him and quickly nurtured him like a lotus in a pond. When he grew up, he became proficient in letters, numbers, arithmetic, manual calculation, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and reading. At that time, the Brahmin's practice...

Postures, behaviors, cleanliness, universal conduct, taking ashes, taking bird-beak pots, taking earth, hand gestures, hairstyles, things to be highly praised, things called "Kye," the science of definitive expressions, the science of offerings, the science of poetry, the science of protecting the state, the six activities of Brahmins are performing sacrifices, causing to perform sacrifices, reading, causing to read, A Brahmin skilled in giving and receiving, having reached the other shore of the Vedas and the branches of the Vedas, illuminating his own speech with fire-like wisdom, and able to refute the speech of others. His father had him study all the places of knowledge, and then in sixteen years he read the grammar of the senses and refuted all opponents. At another time, when he was reciting mantras with his father, he said, "Father, what does this mean?" The son also said, "I do not know the meaning of this, but these secret words are the basis of the praises, declarations, and correct combinations made by the former sages. Now the Brahmins also follow and recite them." Father: "Those secret words, the basis of the praises, declarations, and correct combinations made by the former sages, which the Brahmins now follow and recite, do they have no meaning?" Or, saying like this, "The meaning of this is this." He said, "The meaning of this is this." The Brahmin Star King was delighted, and after being delighted, he thought, "The son's task is like this: to surpass the father's learning, or to understand even more specially, that is all. Then this Brahmin boy understands more specially than I do!" So he had about five hundred Brahmin boys read the secret words of the Brahmins, and he gladly entrusted them all to him. When the Brahmin boy Nyergyal had about five hundred Brahmin boys read the secret words of the Brahmins, he arranged those long mantras in short form. He arranged those short mantras in long form, reducing words and letters.
