具有无慈悲心之人，已舍弃世间彼岸，便从剑鞘中拔出剑，砍断她的头颅，将她击倒在地。他没有杀死她就离开了。作恶业的众生颤抖着。那个女孩对他说：王子，这里没有人，不要因为只有我和一个女孩而害怕。他想：如果我在这里说，我会很高兴。于是他说：善良的女子，我没有为了你而杀人。她说：难道不是母亲吗？还是养母？他说：是养母。他想：这个人不明白功德，所以不杀我。如果他对我有怒气，我会有什么遭遇呢？于是她说：王子，请您登上我家的楼顶，稍作休息，直到我回来。他说：就这样做吧。然后她登上楼顶，大喊：强盗啊，强盗啊！他惊恐万分，逃回自己的家，把剑放在门口，大喊：那个强盗就是这个人，他没杀我的母亲就逃走了！然后他尊敬地处理了他母亲的尸体，然后离开了。作恶业的众生无法获得安稳，于是他去了外道之处和苦行之处，询问：贤者们，做什么才能使恶业消尽？ 有些人说：投入火中吧！有些人说：服毒吧！有些人说：跳下悬崖吧！有些人说：用绳子吊死吧！所有人都教导死亡的方法，却没有一个人教导解脱的方法。那时，他去了逝逝林（Jetavana Vihara）。在那里，他听到一位比丘诵读： 无论谁造作了罪业， 都能以善行来遮止， 如日月为云所蔽， 此世亦将显现光明。 他想：罪业也能被阻止吗？我想在他们之中出家。于是他走到比丘面前说：尊者，我想出家。他让他出家。

A person with a heart devoid of compassion, having abandoned the other shore of the world, drew his sword from its sheath, severed her head, and knocked her to the ground. He left without killing her. The sentient being who had committed evil deeds trembled. The girl said to him, "Prince, there is no one here, do not be afraid because there are only me and a girl." He thought, "If I speak here, I will be happy." So he said, "Good woman, I did not kill for you." She said, "Is it not a mother? Or a foster mother?" He said, "It is a foster mother." He thought, "This person does not understand merit, so he does not kill me. If he becomes angry with me, what will happen to me?" So she said, "Prince, please ascend to the roof of my house and rest for a while until I return." He said, "So be it." Then she ascended to the roof and shouted, "Thief, thief!" He was terrified and fled back to his house, placed his sword at the door, and shouted, "That thief is this person, he fled without killing my mother!" Then he respectfully disposed of his mother's corpse and left. Sentient beings who have committed evil deeds cannot find stability, so he went to the places of non-Buddhists and the places of asceticism, and asked, "Sages, what must be done to exhaust evil deeds?" Some said, "Enter the fire!" Some said, "Take poison!" Some said, "Jump off a cliff!" Some said, "Hang yourself with a rope!" All taught methods of death, but no one taught a method of liberation. At that time, he went to Jetavana Vihara. There, he heard a monk reciting: Whoever has committed evil deeds, Can be stopped by good deeds, Like the sun and moon obscured by clouds, This world will also appear bright. He thought, "Can evil deeds also be stopped? I want to be ordained among them." So he went to the monk and said, "Venerable, I wish to be ordained." He ordained him.
