He follows that path and sees an ancient city, a former royal palace, complete with gardens, groves, ponds, beautiful and connected to the forest, a place of joy. Having seen it, he thinks, 'I should go to the king and tell him.' So he goes to the king and says, 'May the gods know! Here, as I was wandering in a great forest, I found an ancient ruin, an ancient way, an ancient traditional ruin, a ruin trodden and followed by ancient people. I followed that ruin and saw an ancient city, a former royal palace, complete with gardens, groves, ponds, beautiful and connected to the forest, a place of joy. May the gods build that city! May they grant that royal palace! In time, that royal palace will be prosperous, flourishing, peaceful, bountiful, and admired by many people.' Just so, monks, I too have attained the ancient path, the ancient way, and the ancient tradition.
