Then they let them rest, relieved the fatigue of the journey, and led them to the temple. After a while, seeing the well-arranged cushions and the prepared abundance of food, they said to him: Venerable Sangha Sustainer, are you not thirsty? Are you not hungry? He said: O Possessor of Life, I am thirsty! I am hungry! They said: Venerable Sangha Sustainer, please eat! He said: I will eat within the Sangha. They said: Venerable Sangha Sustainer, you are tired from the long journey, please eat now! Otherwise, there will be faults occurring here later. Seeing the faults, he ate and went to one side and sat down. After a while, they arrived at noon, and when the ghanta was struck, they each took their bowls and sat down in order. As they sat down, the temple also disappeared, and their respective bowls turned into various kinds of iron hammers. Then, until noon had passed, they used those iron hammers to smash each other's heads, their heads shattered, tormented by the feeling of suffering, and uttered miserable cries. After a while, when noon had passed, the temple reappeared as it was before, and those monks also remained in the same way with peaceful conduct. Then, the Venerable Sangha Sustainer went to them and asked: O Possessors of Life, who are you? By what karma were you born here? They said: Venerable Sangha Sustainer, the people of Jambudvipa are very difficult to believe, you will not believe it. He said: If I see it with my own eyes, why would I not believe it? They said: Venerable Sangha Sustainer, we were the hearers of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Light Protector. When we fought for food, due to the ripening of that karma, we were born in the ephemeral sentient being hells, and the place where we will be born in the sentient being hells after we die from here will also exist. Venerable Sangha Sustainer, for that reason, please go to Jambudvipa and tell those who practice pure conduct, O Possessor of Life

Those people are like this, for example, like the monks of Holder of Light, do not quarrel in the row of alms food. Do not become the possessor of the fate of such a collection of suffering, it would be good to speak this reason extensively. He promised to do so and left. Just like that, in a certain monastery in Dula, the second temple had a high horse path, with skylights, with net-like star windows, decorated with railings, pleasing to the heart and eyes, becoming a ladder to heaven, equipped with beds and bedding and various implements, surrounded by various trees, ponds and lakes made it beautiful, swans, cranes, peacocks, parrots, squirrels and cuckoos were making sounds, shining with glory like the heavenly realm. There, seeing those monks who were well assigned and well trained, abiding with peaceful conduct, he went to them with respect. Then, they said to him with respect and caution: Venerable Sangha Guardian, welcome, welcome. Where have you come from now? He told everything that had happened, and then they let him rest, relieved the fatigue of the journey, and took him to the temple. When he saw the good cushions set up and the common heap of food set up, they said to him: Venerable Sangha Guardian, are you not tired? Are you not thirsty? He said: Those with life, I am thirsty, I am hungry. They said: Venerable Sangha Guardian, please eat. He said: I will eat in the Sangha. 0A They said: Venerable Sangha Guardian, you are tired from the journey, please eat now, later there will be faults here. Because he saw the faults, he ate and then went to one side and sat down. When they reached noon, when the ghanta was struck, each took their own bowl and sat down in order. As they sat down, the temple also disappeared, and the food and drink also turned into molten iron. Then, they threw molten iron at each other until noon had passed, their bodies

Distressed by the feeling of suffering, he uttered a pitiful cry. After some time, as the sun set, the temple appeared as before, and those monks remained in the same way with peaceful conduct. Then, the venerable Mahadeva went to them and asked: Venerable ones, who are you? By what karma were you born here? They said: Venerable Mahadeva, the people of Jambudvipa are difficult to believe, you will not believe. He said: If I see it with my own eyes, why would I not believe? They said: Venerable Mahadeva, we are the Shravakas of the perfectly enlightened Buddha Kashyapa. After some time, when the Sangha received offerings of ghee, and when unexpected monks arrived, we, who were controlled by stinginess, thought that we would not eat until the unexpected monks had left, and we made such a resolution and also spoke those words. For seven days, due to an untimely and bad environment, those foods and drinks rotted and became unusable. We did this because we wasted what should have been given with faith. As a result of that karma, we were born into the hells of short-lived beings. After we die from here, we will be born into the great hells of sentient beings, and there will be such places. Venerable Mahadeva, for this reason, go to Jambudvipa and say to those who practice Brahmacharya: Venerable ones, like the monks of Kashyapa Buddha, do not waste what should be given with faith! Do not become recipients of such a multitude of suffering! It would be good to proclaim this matter widely. He promised: I will do so, and then he left. After some time, in the same way, in a monastery of Shala, there was a three-story temple with high stables, skylights, latticed windows, decorated with railings, pleasing to the heart and eye, becoming a staircase to the heavens, with beds and couches and abundant utensils, and various trees.
