They lay down, and the temple disappeared, and they went to the seashore. They also lay down on the sand and sat, saying, 'Gawa, Nyegawa, go and get stones, we will register the number.' When they saw us lying on the sand, they said, 'Those who have great faith in the Blessed One, who make offerings to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, we have registered them, and the temple has disappeared, and they have gone, are they gods? Dragons? Yakshas? Who are they?' When they said this, the monks requested the Blessed One. The Blessed One said, 'Monks, the monk who recites mantras is that very emanation. If the six groups of monks had not registered, then until the end of the teachings, they would have made offerings to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha.' The Blessed One thought, 'Whatever faults have occurred, it is because the monks registered the number in a place where gathering and settling in the temple are not visible.' Therefore, he said, 'Therefore, in a place where gathering is not visible and settling is not visible, monks should not register the number. In a place where gathering is visible but settling is not visible, monks should not register the number. In a place where settling is visible but gathering is not visible, monks should not register the number. In a place where both gathering and settling are visible, monks should measure with mindfulness and awareness.' Vinaya-vastu, Volume 9. After that, they went to the seashore and manifested a temple with a high stable, with skylights and latticed windows, decorated with railings, pleasing to the heart and eyes, like a staircase to the heavens, equipped with beds, small beds, and various utensils. There, the dragons of the great ocean appeared in the guise of Brahmins and householders, and listened to the Dharma from him (referring to the manifested temple). After hearing the Dharma, they helped the monks who came suddenly and were preparing to leave with all kinds of utensils. An elderly monk in that temple

From the summer retreat, they went to Shravasti. The usual practice of the group of six was: "Here, we should teach the Dharma to the Brahmins and householders who come and gather, and we should also subdue the opponents, and we should also proclaim our own fame." Therefore, none of the group of six would leave the gate of Jeta Grove empty. Near Delight got up early in the morning, threw away the tooth stick, put on the reddish-yellow kasaya, and walked and stayed at the gate of Jeta Grove. From afar, he saw an old man coming, with white hair like flowers and drooping eyebrows. He thought: "This must be an elder monk." So he went to greet him and said: "Elder, welcome! Welcome!" The old man said: "Teacher, I prostrate!" Near Delight thought: "Alas! This is just an old man, he doesn't even know the teacher, let alone the preceptor." So he said to the old man: "Old man, where did you come from?" "From the seashore." "Is there a monastery there?" The old man said: "There is a monastery." "Is it a monastery or a poor place?" "What is a monastery like? What is a poor place like?" "A place that has all the necessities is a monastery, and a place that lacks all the necessities is a poor place." "That is a monastery." "What is there?" "There lives a Dharma-speaking monk, and he teaches the Dharma to the Brahmins and householders, and after they hear the Dharma from him, they provide all the necessities to the monks who come suddenly and prepare to leave." The usual practice of the group of six was that whatever they heard, they would gather together in the evening and tell each other. Therefore, Near Delight went to the monastery and said to the group of six: "Venerable ones, how long should we stop being busy? Have you heard anything?" Near Delight said: "I have heard. There is a monastery by the sea." "What is there?" "There lives a Dharma-speaking monk, and he teaches the Dharma to the Brahmins 03B and householders, and after they hear the Dharma from him, they provide all the necessities to the monks who come suddenly and prepare to leave."

They empower with all the necessary items. Come, let us go there. When they went there, he saw them coming from a very far distance, and he thought: These evildoers who wander everywhere have come here too. He also thought: If I do not depend on them at all, what can they do to me? Then, the dragons of the great ocean appeared in the guise of Brahmins and householders, and he taught them the Dharma. After they heard the Dharma from him, they offered all the necessary items to the monks who came suddenly and were about to leave, and the group of six monks said: Gawa, Nyegawa, what does this old man know? A one-word theorist. This person is temporarily false, teaching the Dharma of one-word theory. These monks are endowed with the three baskets, proclaiming the Dharma, possessing the confidence of reason and liberation, why not ask them? They said to him: Old man, what do you know? He said: A one-word theorist. They said: Old man, you are temporarily false, teaching the Dharma of one-word theory. These monks are endowed with the three baskets, proclaiming the Dharma, possessing the confidence of reason and liberation, why not ask them? He said: Holy ones, did I stop you? Why don't you teach the Dharma? They said: Gawa, Nyegawa, this old man is not in agreement with us, we must do the work of expulsion. He thought: If they do the work of expulsion to me, then I will not find an opportunity in the dragon's place either. Thinking this, he made them fall asleep, and the temple also disappeared, and he entered the great ocean. They lay down on the sandy beach and sat down, saying: Gawa, Nyegawa, quickly arrange the lion throne, and we will teach the Dharma. When they saw us lying on the sandy beach, they said: One who has great faith in the Bhagavan, who makes offerings to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, as soon as we touched him, the temple disappeared and left. Was that a god? Was it a dragon? Was it a yaksha? Who was it?
