我是（指年龄）一岁。然后，世尊对比丘们说：比丘们，种姓之子（指儿童）最初只是想聚集在一起。因此，不要允许年满一岁者出家，不要让他受具足戒，不要给予住所，不要让他成为沙弥，也不要让他自己住在这里。年满两岁也不要这样做，年满三岁也不要这样做，年满四岁也不要这样做，年满五岁也不要这样做，年满六岁也不要这样做，年满七岁也不要这样做，年满八岁也不要这样做，年满九岁也不要这样做。不要让他受具足戒，不要给予住所，不要让他成为沙弥，也不要让他自己住在这里。年满十岁才可以允许出家，可以让他受具足戒，可以给予住所，可以让他成为沙弥，也可以让他自己住在这里。那些没有分别的，无论是孩子、愚昧者、不聪明者、不贤明者，都让他们出家。唉！那些自己没有调伏而调伏他人，这是不可能的。自己没有寂静而使他人寂静，自己没有解脱而使他人解脱，自己没有完全从痛苦中解脱而使他人完全从痛苦中解脱，自己没有从泥潭中出来而救度他人脱离泥潭，这是不可能的。年老的、年幼的、愚昧的、不聪明的、不贤明的人，如果让其他外道出家并受具足戒，那个人没有及时得到教诲和指导，放弃戒律而堕落，当比丘们向世尊禀告此事时，世尊说：因此，年满十岁且具备五种功德者，可以允许出家，可以让他受具足戒，可以给予住所，可以让他成为沙弥，也可以让他自己住在这里。哪五种呢？受具足戒后满十年或十年以上，能够或能够让他人照顾一起居住者和侍者的疾病，能够或能够让他人消除一起居住者和侍者产生的后悔。

If an old, young, foolish, unintelligent, or unwise person ordains and fully ordains another non-Buddhist, and that person does not receive teachings and guidance in time, abandons the precepts and falls, when the monks reported this to the Blessed One, the Blessed One said: Therefore, one who is ten years old and possesses five qualities should be allowed to be ordained, he can be allowed to receive full ordination, he can be given lodging, he can be allowed to become a novice monk, and he can also be allowed to live here by himself. What are the five?
