The wise ones said, "Alas, he possesses many troops." Therefore, his name became Army-Possessed Essence. He became known as Army-Possessed Essence. Some knew him as Craft-Practiced Essence. Some knew him as Army-Possessed Essence. The youth Essence-Possessed spoke to the five hundred sons of ministers, "Wise ones, this King of Anga is one who subdues enemies, possessing great armies and power, so we are unable to wage war with him. Therefore, we should completely intoxicate him, then crush and kill him." They completely intoxicated him, then crushed and killed the King of Anga. The fourfold army of the King of Anga scattered in all four directions. The youth Essence-Possessed sent messenger horsemen in all four directions, saying, "Wise ones, he also was one who was crowned king by the royal family, and I also am one who was crowned king by the royal family, so return. Wise ones, I will give the wise ones the means of livelihood." And they returned. Then, the one who was left to guard the city of Champa by the King of Anga, Having heard how the King of Anga was killed, he closed the gates and stood guard on top of the ramparts. The youth Essence-Possessed eventually went to the city of Champa, and he hung the head of the King of Anga on a long pole and showed it, saying, "I have made your leader into this state. If you come out, that is good. If you do not come out, you too will be made into this state, you will have such a state of being." Having heard this, they became uneasy. They thought, "If country and life are endangered, a person should always protect their life. If both are judged with wisdom, the country can be regained, but not life." Thinking this, he took a sword and hung it around his neck and came out. Then, the youth Essence-Possessed killed the King of Anga and took the city of Champa into his own hands, and he reported to King Great Lotus that the deity had killed the King of Anga and taken

Their usual behavior is like this: when they are not reading, sometimes they go to the water's edge to touch it; sometimes they go to the city; sometimes they go to the cremation pyre. When they are not reading at other times, they go to the cremation pyre, and on the way they say things like this: Hey, sons of Kudsa! Sons of Badsa! Sons of Shandili! Sons of Bharadvaja! Sons of Five! Near Sons of Five! Now we should ask you, from which place have you come? Then, a Brahmin boy said: I am from the East. Another said: I am from the South. Yet another said: I am from the West. Yet another said: I am from the North. That Brahmin boy said: I am from the Central Land. They said: Wise ones, we have seen and heard of all places, but the Central Land we have neither seen nor heard of. In the East dwell the wise, in the South dwell the deceitful, in the West there are slanderers, and in the North there are the rude. They also spoke this verse. Then they asked: Brahmin boy, what is the Central Land like? Wise ones, the Central Land is the most excellent of all places, there is rice, there are sugarcane groves, there are abundant cattle and buffalo, it is full of beggars, filled with central people, far from border people, and frequented by the wise. There is the Ganges River, known as the place of happiness, merit, auspiciousness, purity, and purity itself, the banks are moist, it is the abode of the sages, and there are nine hundred and eighteen rivers flowing. There, if the sages practice asceticism, they ascend to heaven by their own bodies. Hey, Brahmin boy, go see him and ask other things. Are there those who are considered wise in the Central Land? Wise ones, I said from the beginning, wise ones, the Central Land is full of central people, far from border people, and frequented by the wise. Brahmin boy, you said those words.
