Becoming the same and similar to ordinary people, ordinary people also see and speak in this way, and you will become just like them. Son of Merjuk, in this world, whether a Shramana or a Brahmin, if someone abandons this view and does not accept other views, such Shramanas or Brahmins are said to be very few. Son of Merjuk, these three are the places of views. Which three? Son of Merjuk, some see and say: 'I can endure everything.' Others see and say: 'I cannot endure everything.' Still others see and say: 'I can endure some, and I cannot endure some.' Son of Merjuk, if someone holds the view 'I can endure everything,' this will lead to complete attachment, and there will be no absence of complete attachment; it will lead to complete hatred, and there will be no absence of complete hatred; it will lead to complete delusion, and there will be no absence of complete delusion; it will lead to complete jealousy, and there will be no absence of complete jealousy; it will lead to complete bondage, and there will be no freedom from complete bondage; it will lead to complete affliction, and there will be no complete purification. Holding the view 'I can endure everything' will lead to extreme joy, clinging, and intense craving. Son of Merjuk, if someone holds the view 'I cannot endure everything,' this will lead to the absence of complete attachment, and there will be no complete attachment; it will lead to the absence of complete hatred, and there will be no complete hatred; it will lead to the absence of complete delusion, and there will be no complete delusion; it will lead to the absence of complete jealousy, and there will be no complete jealousy; it will lead to freedom from complete bondage, and there will be no complete bondage; it will lead to complete purification, and there will be no complete affliction. Holding the view 'I cannot endure everything' will lead to extreme displeasure and no clinging.

Especially, there will be no more attachment. Maitreya's son, regarding the view that "I can endure some things and cannot endure others," for the time being, the view that "I can endure some things" will completely love, and will not be completely without love; will completely hate, and will not be completely without hate; will completely be ignorant, and will not be completely without ignorance; will completely quarrel, and will not be completely without quarrel; will completely unite, and will not be completely separated from union; will be completely afflicted, and will not be completely purified; the view that "I can endure some things" is manifest joy, closeness, and especially attachment. Regarding the view that "I cannot endure some things," there will be complete absence of love, and no complete love; complete absence of hatred, and no complete hatred; complete absence of ignorance, and no complete ignorance; complete absence of quarrel, and no complete quarrel; complete separation from union, and no complete union; complete purification, and no complete affliction; the view that "I cannot endure some things" is no manifest joy, no closeness, and especially no more attachment. In this regard, the noble hearer who possesses hearing discerns in this way: If I can endure everything, thus viewing and thus speaking, I cannot endure everything, thus viewing and thus speaking, whoever it may be, and who it may be who views and speaks thus, "I can endure some things and cannot endure others," these two people will argue and fight with me. If they argue, they will fight. If they fight, they will harm each other. Having thus truly seen the argument, the fight, and the mutual harm, they also abandon this view and do not accept other views, and thus.

Then that view of self will also be abandoned, discarded, and eliminated, and other views will not be connected, will not be approached, and will not arise, I think. In this regard, the noble disciple who is endowed with hearing discerns in this way: If one says, "All of me is unbearable," if one sees it that way and speaks that way, then "All of me is bearable," whoever sees it that way and speaks that way, and "Some of me is bearable and some is unbearable," whoever sees it that way and speaks that way, the two of them will argue with me, they will fight, if they argue they will fight, if they fight they will harm each other. Son of Merjuk, this body is formed from the four great elements, which are tangible and coarse. The noble disciple should repeatedly observe the arising and ceasing and abide in it. When the noble disciple repeatedly observes the arising and ceasing and abides in it, whatever desire for the body, attachment to the body, delight in the body, clinging to the body, infatuation with the body, and excessive attachment to the body arise,
