Thus it was definitely indicated. One was the supreme possessor of miraculous powers, and the other was the possessor of wisdom, prophesied to become supreme. Then, the two wanderers, Nigalya and Panasaka, went to where the Blessed One was, bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: "Venerable One, if you would grant us ordination and full ordination in the well-spoken Dharma and Vinaya, as monks, we would practice the pure conduct in the presence of the Blessed One." The Blessed One ordained the two of them by saying, "Come, monks," and said, "Monks, come, practice the pure conduct." Immediately after the Blessed One's teaching, they became images with shaved hair and wearing robes, with hair and beards only about seven days old, holding alms bowls in their hands, holding water bottles, and abiding in the conduct of a monk who had been fully ordained for a hundred years. It is also said: The Tathagata taught with the words "Come," possessing a body with shaved hair and wearing robes, instantly the senses became tranquil and abiding, with the Buddha's intention, covering the bodily form. Then, many monks in the morning put on their lower garments, took their alms bowls and Dharma robes, and entered Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir in Bihar, India) for alms. At that time, those in Rajagriha who had overthrown the places of the heretics of the True Conquerors, and who had not been fully ordained for long, were displeased and unhappy. When they saw those monks, they mocked and spoke verses: The Buddha went to Magadha, the supreme city of Rajagriha, if he leads the True Conquerors, whom will he lead hereafter? Therefore, the monks became timid, displeased, and insecure. Then, many monks walked in Rajagriha for alms, and after doing the work of eating, in the afternoon, because they did not receive food, they put down their alms bowls and Dharma robes, washed their feet, and feeling pain and discomfort, went to where the Blessed One was, and bowed their heads at the feet of the Blessed One.

Having said that, they make us feel ashamed and unhappy, and become fearless. The Blessed One said: Monks, to those people of Rajagriha who say such things, you should say this: Here is the great courageous Sugata, who leads with the sacred Dharma, if they lead with the Dharma, which wise person would not endure it?

It has matured, and his wife has also matured. The Brahmin Star King has also matured. Sharika has also matured. The Brahmin's son, named Long-Shanks, wandered through the villages from the south, holding the world's long-handled umbrella. The gatekeeper recognized him from his face and said: Wise one, are you Long-Shanks? People know it that way. Where is the son of the Brahmin householder? He has matured. Where is his wife? She has also matured. Where is the Brahmin Star King? He has also matured. Where is Sharika? He has also matured. Where is Shari's son? In Rajagriha, a teacher named Correct Victory has appeared, and not long after, he has renounced. Like this, for a while, the act of renunciation is done by the Brahmin. He eventually went to Rajagriha, and having arrived there, he asked: Where is the teacher Correct Victory? He has matured. Where is his heretical place? They have all renounced at the feet of the ascetic Gautama. Gautama was prophesied to be a Chakravartin king, so he will also become his guide, that is good. Then, the wanderer Senarings went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, together with the Blessed One, they exchanged greetings of joy and satisfaction, engaged in various conversations, and then sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the wanderer Senarings said to the Blessed One: Gautama, I cannot tolerate everything. Son of Fire Offering, the view that you hold that I cannot tolerate everything, that view I also cannot tolerate. Gautama, the view that I cannot tolerate everything, that view I also cannot tolerate. Son of Fire Offering, if you know and see it that way, then that view will be abandoned, discarded, and eliminated, and other views will not be connected, approached, and arise.
