བར་དཀའོ། །གནས་མལ་དགོན་པ་ནགས་ཁྲོད་དང་། རི་དྲུང་དང་། བས་མཐའ་དག་ཏུ་གནས་པ་ཁོང་དུ་ཆུད་པར་དགའོ། །གཅིག་པུ་དགོན་པར་གནས་པ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་རི་དགས་གདུག་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་གནས་པར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་གཞན་གྱིས་བྱིན་པས་འཚོ་བར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་མིའི་འདོད་པ་དག་ལས་དབེན་པར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་མིའི་དགའ་བ་དང་རྩེད་མོ་དག་ལས་དབེན་པར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །སྲས་གཞོན་ནུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཚུར་སྦྱོན་ཁྱོད་འདི་ཉིད་དུ་བཞུགས་ལ་འདོད་པ་དག་ལ་ཡང་ཡོངས་སུ་སྤྱོད་ཅིག །སྦྱིན་པ་དག་ཀྱང་སྩོལ་ཅིག །བསོད་ནམས་དག་ཀྱང་མཛོད་ཅིག །དེ་སྐད་སྨྲས་ཀྱང་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཅང་མི་སྨྲའོ། །བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ནེའུ་ལྡངས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ལ་ལན་གཉིས་ལན་གསུམ་གྱི་བར་དུ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །སྲས་གཞོན་ནུ་མཁྱེན་པར་མཛོད་ཅིག །ཁྱོད་ནི་ཤིན་ཏུ་གཞོན་པ་བདེ་བ་བཞེད་པ་ལགས་པས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མི་མཁྱེན་ཏེ། ཚངས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ་སྤྱད་དཀའོ། །རབ་ཏུ་དབེན་པར་བགྱི་དཀའོ། །གཅིག་པུ་ཉིད་ལ་མངོན་པར་དགའ་བར་དཀའོ། །གནས་མལ་དགོན་པ་ནགས་ཁྲོད་དང་། རི་དྲུང་དང་། བས་མཐའ་དག་ཏུ་གནས་པ་ཁོང་དུ་ཆུད་པར་དཀའོ། །གཅིག་པུ་དགོན་པར་གནས་པ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་རི་དགས་གདུག་པ་དག་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་གནས་པར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་གཞན་གྱིས་བྱིན་པས་འཚོ་བར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་མིའི་འདོད་པ་དག་ལས་དབེན་པར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྲིད་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་མིའི་དགའ་བ་དང་རྩེད་མོ་དག་ལས་དབེན་པར་བགྱི་འཚལ་ལོ། །སྲས་གཞོན་ནུ་པང་ ནས་སྐྱེས་ཚུར་སྦྱོན་ཁྱོད་འདི་ཉིད་དུ་བཞུགས་ལ་འདོད་པ་དག་ལ་ཡང་ཡོངས་སུ་སྤྱོད་ཅིག །སྦྱིན་པ་དག་ཀྱང་སྩོལ་ཅིག །བསོད་ནམས་དག་ཀྱང་མཛོད་ཅིག །དེ་སྐད་ལན་གཉིས་ལན་གསུམ་གྱི་བར་དུ་སྨྲས་ཀྱང་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཅང་མི་སྨྲའོ། །དེ་ནས་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ནེའུ་ལྡངས་རྣམས་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ཕ་མ་གཉིས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་དོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས་བྲམ་ཟེའི་ཁྱེའུ་པང་ནས་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ཕ་མ་གཉིས་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ཡབ་ཡུམ་དག་མཁྱེན་པར་མཛོད་ཅིག

寂静童子自膝生，亡故后当如何行？出家乃智者所赞，若出家后心生欢喜，亦可视其为存活。若未生欢喜，则仙人等亦会返回，为子者除父母外，又能有何处可去？故出家甚好。之后，婆罗门童子自膝生的父母对婆罗门童子自膝生如是说：童子自膝生，你出家是行善，居家是不行善吗？父母啊，我出家是行善，居家是不行善。童子自膝生，那么现在就知晓时机已到吧！之后，婆罗门童子自膝生得到父母的允许后，以米粥次第滋养身体的力量、体力和精进，从织木村出来，到达名为村落的地方。婆罗门童子近护喜欢寂静，前往住所森林，让大约五百名婆罗门童子诵读婆罗门的秘密咒语。婆罗门童子自膝生逐渐到达村落，对婆罗门童子近护的父母说：父母啊，婆罗门童子近护在何处？他们二人说：婆罗门童子近护喜欢寂静，前往住所森林，让大约五百名婆罗门童子诵读婆罗门的秘密咒语。婆罗门童子自膝生前往婆罗门童子近护所在之处，到达后说：近护，过来吧，我们以对真实的信仰，从家到无家出家。他说：你们得到父母的允许了吗？得到了。他说：婆罗门童子，我问过父母后再来，暂时等待一下。他说：近护，我若等到父母允许，你又要等到何时才能允许？他说：婆罗门童子，我现在就去得到允许后回来。之后，婆罗门童子近护前往父母所在之处，到达后对父母说：

What should be done when the peaceful youth, born from the knee, dies? Renunciation is praised by the wise, for if one rejoices after renouncing, it can be seen as being alive. If one does not rejoice, then the hermits will return, for where else can a son go except to his parents? Therefore, renunciation is good. Then, the parents of the Brahmin boy Born-from-the-Knee said to the Brahmin boy Born-from-the-Knee, "Boy Born-from-the-Knee, is it better for you to renounce, or is it not better to remain at home?" "Parents, it is better for me to renounce, it is not better to remain at home." "Boy Born-from-the-Knee, then know that the time has come!" Then, the Brahmin boy Born-from-the-Knee, having been permitted by his parents, gradually increased the strength, power, and diligence of his body with rice porridge, and having come out of the village of Takshaka, he arrived at a place called Gramanala. The Brahmin boy Nyergyal, delighting in solitude, went to a solitary dwelling in the forest, and had about five hundred Brahmin boys recite the secret Brahmin mantras. The Brahmin boy Born-from-the-Knee gradually reached Gramanala and said to the parents of the Brahmin boy Nyergyal: "Parents, where is the Brahmin boy Nyergyal?"
